Swizz Beats And Jim Jones Drop “Preach” Visual
Salutations FM Trendsetters! For the past two months, Ruff Ryders self-proclaimed “One Band Man” Swizz Beats been releasing videos from his upcoming “Poison” album. “Pistol On My Side (P.O.M.S.)” with Lil Wayne, which ended up on his critically acclaimed Carter 5 album, and “25 Soldiers” with Young Thug, already previewed the heat that the infamous producer has been working on for the past year. Swizz Beats‘ last album was released 11 years ago. However, he proves once again that his name is a staple in this rap game. Over the weekend via Instagram, the Bronx native released snippets of not only a new track but also released the video for a new track off the album, which will be the third in the series of videos dropped. This time instead of the South, the Ruff Ryder/Full Surface producer went back up top and recruited Harlem’s own Jim Jones for the new heat “Preach“. What better way to release a hot track than the traditional visual.
The video takes place in Miami. Fast car. Flights. Great production. Traditional bars by Jim Jones, that take you back to the DipSet “On My way To Church” Jimmy from 2004, mixed with a little bit of “Ballllliiiin” Jimmy from 2006. When the beat comes in, the snares fight with the drums and the instruments argue with the bells and the claps. Both the video and the track gets you in motion through the whole ordeal. Not to mention the drip is wetter than an episode of Baywatch in a typhoon and tsunami. Too much wave to surf. You can not really expect less from the New York duo. “Why drink Rose when Jay got Aces“. Indeed. Sounds like motivational “cook and move” music. This was what the hip-hop heads been waiting for. A DipSet member on a Swizz Beats-produced track. I can’t wait to see what Swizzy has cooking on this upcoming album. Release date coming soon. Enjoy.
