Kanye West to Executive Produce Ghostface Killah’s “Supreme Clientele 2” Album

Kanye West is a busy man, coming off a summer of massive coverage and endless hype in the lead-up to DONDA. Indeed, with DONDA released, West is looking for new projects. He is slated to produce Pusha T’s new album, set for release “soon”. Fivio Foreign also confirmed in August that West will be producing his debut album, The Bible.

Now, legendary rapper Ghostface Killah will get the Kanye West treatment. The Wu-Tang rapper made the announcement on Reddit’s r/hiphopheads forum yesterday with the following post:

“SUPREME CLIENTELE 2 IS EXECUTIVE PRODUCED BY: KANYE WEST, MIKE DEAN & PRODUCERPLUGUNI.COM, RELEASE DATE: FEB 2022”

Killah Supreme

Supreme Clientele 2 is the sequel to Killah’s previous Supreme Clientele album, released in 2000. In August 2020, Killah took to Instagram to announce that Supreme 2 was in the works yet offered no follow-up details. Since its release more than twenty years ago, Killah has put out twelve albums and participated in dozens of features and collaborations

Still, details are few and far-between for Supreme 2. Following this announcement, Killah retreated and so far has given nothing else away.

Regardless, Killah is staying busy. Case in point, he has a new tour is in the works. Killah will be teaming up with Wu-Tang Clan members GZA and Raekwon for the “3 Chambers” tour. The U.S. expedition will kick off October 1 in Minneapolis, MN. Over two months, the trio will go coast to coast before finishing up in Indianapolis.

The return of Mike Dean

Interestingly, we see from this announcement that Mike Dean is back working with West. The long-time producer of West left the recording studio in Merceds-Benz Stadium last month abruptly. According to Dean, the environment was “toxic”, and when the Twitter-verse got ahold of it, he only confirmed it, tweeting “Toxic. That’s it.” It appears then that Dean has taken time for himself, as he had wished to do. Evidently, a break from Kanye West is what he needed.
