Lana Del Rey Had a Book Signing And The Biggest Takeaway For Us Is Her Mask
The unconventional star and singer Lana Del Rey, has been a source of extra twitter attention over the last few months. Since her controversial critical comments about Black singer icons like Beyonce and Doja Cat and Nicki, her twitter mentions have been a slew of thoughts from the world. And naturally, the internet wasn’t happy. 3 months after the controversy, she is in hot water again.
Yesterday, the singer held a surprise book signing for her new poetry book ‘Violet Bent Backwards Over The Grass.’ But, as the internet quickly realized from photos, Rey was wearing a sparkling fishnet mesh mask, meaning a mask of very little use. In other photos the star is pictured having pulled down her mask entirely. The failure to meet CDC guidelines was not met well from the public.
Twitter had a blast mocking it.

Her brother came to her defense claiming the star had taken a covid test before with a negative result. He also insisted that she had remained over 6 feet from every fan from the signing. Photos posted by attendees told a different story so, naturally, the star is far from a criticism free internet presence this week, just another reminder that the best way to fight this virus is a strong mask and thoughtful practices.
