The Los Angeles Police Department has searched A$AP Rocky’s house for a specific gun. That gun is connected to an assault case that they believe Rocky committed.
The LAPD has a video showing Rocky’s connection and an assault case from Nov. 6, 2021. According to the victim, Rocky pulled out a handgun and shot him three to four times during an argument. One of the bullets grazed his left hand. Afterward, Rocky and two other men escaped the scene on foot.
Rocky’s Arrest
They initially arrested Rocky on Apr. 20. He and his pregnant girlfriend, Rihanna, just returned from a vacation in Barbados. Rocky was arrested at LAX. He was released the same day after posting the $550,000 bail.
Rocky and his legal team were surprised when the police arrested him in his private jet and claimed his connection to the shooting. The usual way the police arrest a suspect of a crime is through voluntary surrender. They would call the representative of the suspect and arrange for him to turn himself in. That did not happen this time.
The cops claimed that they wanted the element of surprise so he wouldn’t be able to escape or get rid of the gun. While they were arresting him, they had another team searching his house. During the house search, Rihanna wanted to pick some of her stuff up. However, she was not allowed in.
House Search
While they did find several guns, none of them was the right caliber. According to TMZ, they knew the caliber based on the shell casings found at the crime scene. They couldn’t get him for illegal possession either. All of the guns were legally his and fully registered. As a result, they had to let him keep the guns.
The District Attorney has not decided yet whether to charge Rocky or not.
