Lil Durk and Lil Baby’s new collaborative effort, The Voice of the Heroes, is paved to have an impressive first week following a successful weekend. The album is expected to reach close to 200,000 in sales and easily reach #1 on the Billboard 200. It’s also slated to open at #1 on Friday’s HITS Top 50, which is no easy feat. Each MC has already spent solo time in the top spot of the Billboard chart, but this newly-built juggernaut duo is likely to see its release get nice and cozy up there for weeks to come.
As if the two hadn’t already solidified their popularity in the hip-hop world.
Earlier this year, Lil Durk released his record The Voice, which topped the charts while Lil Baby’s 2020 release, My Turn, achieved the same status. The album also features artists including Travis Scott, Meek Mill, and Young Thug. Interestingly enough, there is another superstar who wanted in on the action. NBA star James Harden is credited as an executive producer of the album. The eclectic duo even spent a good amount of time recording some of Heroes in Harden’s studio.
If you haven’t given the record a listen yet, please do so. You will not be disappointed. The title – which is an attribute to the two artists – writes a check that the music can cash. And it can only climb from here.
