Lil Durk Announced The Release Date Of The ‘7220’ Album: “Same Day As Ye”
Kanye West appears to have competition on the horizon. Lil Durk, a 29-year-old rapper, based in Chicago, has announced that he will release his upcoming album 7220 on the same day as Kanye West’s album Donda 2. Durk has also been sending hints that the release date is imminent based on his recent Instagram posts.

In the IG post above, Durk is seen with his head tilted downward, holding a red cap with “7220” on the front. An Instagram follower expressed interest in his new album, “Drop 7220,” says the fan.

The Lion Eyes rapper has been teasing his fans by withholding the release date for a few months. In the wake of his collaborative country crossover project with Morgan Wallen on their single “Broadway Girls” on Twitter, Durk also announced the release date of his album, 7220.

It will take place on Tuesday, February 22. Lil Durk has not yet revealed why he is releasing his album on the same day as Kanye. No one, though, seems to be complaining.
Ye, though, explained the reasoning behind his release date.
“According to the stars, the United States is finally getting a spiritual makeover with its first-ever Pluto Return on February 22, 2022. Astrologically, a Pluto return is when the heavenly body returns to the same position in a birth chart where it was when the chart began.”

Many fans can’t wait to pick up two albums on the same day, particularly when they’re from two of the most recognizable names in the industry.
There is a greater concentration of new music releases on Fridays. This decision is a breath of fresh air, bringing us back to New Music Tuesdays when music was initially released.
Congratulations to Durk and Ye on completing their albums! It’s stunning how far they have come in their music careers.
