Chicago Rapper Lil Durk Takes A Vow to Not Drop the Dead People Names in New Music

The Chicago Rising Star Lil Durk takes a vow to stop using the dead people’s names in his new music. The rapper has reevaluated his priorities: Lil Durk is refusing to name the dead in music and will no longer perform old songs mentioning them. The rapper tweeted: “I’m not mentioning the dead in my songs no more or performing songs with they name in it…… – big Smurk.”

This is the second time Lil Durk takes such a pledge. Back in January rapper also tweeted he’s not going to mention the dead in his songs after the deluxe.

Lil Durk’s brother, OTF DTHANG, was shot and killed in June. OTF DTHANG was found dead on the 7900 block on S. Loomis Boulevard in Harvey, Illinois. Taking a second vow, Durk also shared feelings on recent deaths he had had to deal with. He then also talked about love, life, and death, while wondering why people start to care about someone only when they’re dead.

Despite all the horrible experiences, Lil Durk’s career seems to be on the rise this year. His album with Lil Baby was hugely successful, and they are now announcing a tour. Be sure to read about it on our website.
