Rapper Mulatto started getting into music at the age of 10 and since then, her name Mulatto stuck around. Mulatto was insecure about her race and going to a majority-black school she was hated for being light-skinned. Over the years she faced backlash due to it being derogatory but wanted to hold that power against the word. Originally her name was Miss Mulatto but dropped “Miss” to show growth as an artist since being on The Rap Game. This did lead to people questioning why not just change Mulatto to Latto or even Mula but she had her mindset.

Now at 21, Mulatto has taken the step to find a new name since an influx of controversy has hit her. Mulatto now plans to have something new in the books going into the New Year. In an interview from TheShaderoom Mulatto speaks upon how it’s currently in the works.
