Swizz Beatz is beaming proudly over the news of his son Nasir Dean landing a role in the upcoming feature, “Charge it to the Game.”

Beatz has been fully aware of his son’s ambitions for quite some time and is proud of the name Dean is making for himself. This opportunity is equally exciting for Nasir. This role marks the fulfillment of a dream. This would not be the first time that Nasir pursued an acting opportunity. Surprisingly, before landing this role, his audition for a part in the HBO series “Euphoria”  did not go as expected.  According to sources, he did not get the role. However, that could not stop Nasir.

And given his talents and ambitions, one can only assume that his break into film would come sooner rather than later. Unbeknownst to many, quite a few agents and producers were in hot pursuit of Nasir following his appearance in “ Hercules,” a music video released by Common and featuring his father Beatz. But at the time, Dean was not ready to appear on the screen; he was invested in other projects. Yet, now he is more than willing. And now He’s got the chance to show the world what he’s got. 

In the feature  Charge it to the Game, Nasir is cast as Preach, one of the main characters. Preach is the son of a pastor with a bit of a rebellious streak. However, his ambitions lie outside of the wishes of his father. And he and his friends begin making high stake moves to obtain what they want out of life. All the while, they are discovering the complexities of growing up in this coming-of-age film. 

No release date is confirmed, but filming is said to begin soon. And it is our sincere hope that Nasir supersedes all expectations and blows this opportunity out of the water.
