From “Love the Way You Lie” to “Monster” to “Numb“, every song put out by the legendary duo of Eminem and Rihanna seems to be a massive hit. Now, as 2020 rolls on after Em’s surprise project “Music To Be Murdered By” and Rihanna’s first song in three years, “Believe It“, the two culture-defining artists are rumored to be preparing some new music.
Shady Record’s go-to marketing team, Burn It Down Group, posted a story on instagram teasing the collab on Saturday, July 25. The picture featured Eminem’s signature backwards ‘E’ intertwined with Rihanna’s ‘R’ from her “Rated R” album cover and anticipation eyes adding to the hype.
After going Diamond with the 2010 hit “Love The Way You Lie” and winning a Grammy for “Monster”, it will be interesting to see where the unreleased project will end up. Obviously, both of their names together will bring a lot of attention to the music, but will they try to top their previous success with another pop sounding song, or will they try and make music that speaks to them at that time? Either way, fans are in-store for another chapter of Ri Ri and Slim Shady.
