Saturday marked the historic announcement of the President and Vice President elect for the 2021 Term, Joe biden and Kamala Harris.

In the time since the announcement, people in cities all over America have taken to the streets to celebrate the newly elected paif and loss of the current executive figure Donald Trump. 

Since it’s release in 2016, the song FDT has become a humorous anthem for the democratic party. The song repeats the words “F*ck Donald Trump” over and over again and criticizes the figure’s past and present. 

Since the 36 hours since the announcement, the song, despite its four years of age, has hit the #1 spot on Itunes. The song is up 740% in sales. It is becoming a phenomenon at every celebration since the announcement. 

It’s a fitting and poetic conclucion to the iconic drop of the late Nipsey Hussle. With a few more steps left in Trump’s predecessor moving into the white house, it’s likely this is not the end of the song’s success.
