In all honesty, Rae Sremmurd consistently makes some of the hottest dance-ready songs on the planet. Still, the question remains: Did Swae Lee overdo it in his enthusiasm for one of their most well-known tracks?
At a recent club performance, Swae and his group member/brother Slim Jxmmi performed the hit single “No Type” from their 2014 debut album #SremmLife. On a tiny stage with a drink in his hand, Lee jumped around until he accidentally tripped and fell into the audience. But the show didn’t end there!
Immediately following his fall, the “Throw Sum Mo” rapper attempted to dive into the crowd and failed miserably. You would assume from the video that Swae was a bit intoxicated; however, he did not suffer any injuries. An artist is always concerned about the risk of injury when performing on a small stage. You are always close to the crowd, and a limited amount of space is available. However, having been away for four years, Rae Sremmurd’s return to the stage was a welcome sight.
Swae Lee And Slim Jxmmi Trapped In An Elevator
It has been a while since the group has been active, but they have been working diligently on their upcoming album, Sremm4Life. In addition to this exciting news, Rae Sremmurd has released a new single called “Denial.”
Aside from the fact that Swae Lee attempted to dive off of the stage, he was recently trapped in an elevator along with Slim Jxmmi. Neither the cause nor the reason for the delay in assisting them was provided. However, the group was rescued after Swae stressed how hot and exhausted he was. Interestingly, Slim appeared preoccupied with his phone, demonstrating a more relaxed mood than Lee.
“We’ve been trapped in an elevator for three hours,” Swae tells the camera as he grabs the ladder to climb out. “Three hours trapped in an elevator man. I’m f**king hot and exhausted.”
Similar Incident
As far as diving into crowds is concerned, it seems Swae Lee is the master of the art. In September 2019, the rapper landed face-first on the crowd after leaning forward too far during a Minneapolis performance at the Union Rooftop. An alert security guard standing nearby regained control of the situation. Fortunately, there were no injuries associated with the incident.
Whenever Rae Sremmurd takes the stage, the fans can rest assured that they will be in for a show that will last a lifetime. The show will not be forgotten when it’s over.
