Baltimores own Rican Da Menace is joining forces with Moneybagg Yo for a hot new single and a music video to match.
‘Dumb’, produced by Hitmaka and Tay Keith, is the latest showing from newcomer Rican Da Menace. For this electrifying track, Moneybagg serves as a welcome feature. The song dropped just this past week (Feb 17) and is already getting plenty of love on social media.
Moneybagg has garnered quite the reputation for earworm collabs. ‘On Wat u On’, ‘Dior’, and ‘All Of a Sudden’ just being a few examples. On those tracks, playing off Glorilla, Gunna, and Lil Baby respectively, Moneybagg uses his natural charisma and signature Memphis style to add his own flair. Of course, ‘Dumb’ is no exception.

While Moneybagg certainly plays his part, the star of the show is Rican Da Menace. The Columbia Records artist had a career shifting 2022 and is pushing on the gas pedal harder in 2023. Rican dropped ‘Aint Going Back’ last June, and followed that up with ‘I Admit It’ that November. Since signing with Columbia Records in Feburary last year, the East Coast beauty has definitely turned her career up a notch. She’s closing in on 50k total steams on Spotify and has cleared 139,000 views on her recent video for ‘Uh Ohhh’ on YouTube in only a couple weeks. Securing a collab with a big name like Moneybagg Yo is yet another feat to cross off the checklist for Rican Da Menace.
The ‘Dumb’ music video, shit by Benmarc , portrays its two leading roles pulling off a bank heist. From the opening shot with two other female friends discussing the plot, the video appears to be a callback to the 1996 movie Set It Off. Of course, there’s plenty flashing of rings and chains from Rican and her male counterpart. This single and its positive reception marks a upward trend for Ricans career. There’s no doubt she’s one to watch in 2023.
