‘Magic’ by Rico Nasty announced for 6/30

Rico Nasty announced a new single; the cover of her new song ‘Magic’ appeared on Instagram on the night of June 21st. The first signs of new material came out back in April 2021, when the artist posted a snippet on her Instagram.

On the cover, Rico appears to sit on a muscle car in the middle of the desert, reminding me of the ‘Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas or ‘Breaking Bad’ settings. As such, the correlation with drug-related cinematography may be no accident. Back to May 29th, Rico posted a cover of her new upcoming album ‘Rx’, supposedly coming out this summer. The album’s title and cover are as druggy as the mentioned movies, so the references might be purposeful.

Recently, Juicy J released a new single, ‘Take it.’ Rico Nasty is featured here, together with Lord Infamous. Additionally, she recently participated in ‘Art of War’ with Jasiah and Denzel Curry, and ‘Speed it Up’ with NLE Choppa (part of the ‘Fast and Furious 9’ soundtrack). Overall, Rico has eight singles released in 2021. All are available on streaming platforms and leave listeners excited for the new album.
