A fan favorite is coming back this Sunday! Swizz Beatz and Timbaland, the creators of  famous music battle show Verzuz are doing a rematch of their classic hits.

Verzuz was introduced during the pandemic as a virtual DJ battle, with Timbaland and Swizz Beatz facing off on Instagram Live in March of 2020. From that time, Verzuz has become a phenomenon as a celebration of music legends from Gucci Mane to Ashanti. The newest iteration of the battle goes back to the two that started it in a Part II. Timbaland’s connections to Jay-Z, Missy Elliott and Swizz Beatz with most of the Ruff Ryders catalog, makes for an exciting and nostalgic fight.

This battle comes as a part of a long rollout with new partner Triller. In March , the music entertainment platform, made a deal with Swizz and Timbaland. They acquired rights to the show with the two renowned hip-hop producers in a management role. In addition, they also continue to hold part ownership of the brand, along with all participants in Verzuz. This new era under Triller has brought great fights like Raekwon vs Ghostface Killah.  And most recently, a feel-good feud between 90’s female R&B groups Xscape and SWV.

In conclusion, we are very excited to see these two pioneers go against each other again. Who do you think will win this bout?
