Singer and songwriter SZA has some more treats for her fans. Her recent sophomore album SOS received rave reviews from fans and critics. It was also at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart for two weeks. The success of her second studio album proved the doubters and the haters wrong.
The Success Of Her Track “Kill Bill”
The R&B superstar was successful on streaming platforms with her track “Kill Bill” from the well-received album. The song reached the #3 spot on the Hot 100 rankings and, “Kill Bill” and “Blind” have gone viral on social media. So she has decided to tease a music video for the melancholy single with the same name as the 2003 Quentin Tarantino film.
Kill Bill: Volume 1 (2003)
Kill Bill: Volume 1 (2003) was an action/crime film written and directed by Quentin Tarantino. The movie is about a former Assassin, played by Uma Thurman, who wakes up in a coma that she was in for four years. Thurman’s character was in a coma after her jealous ex-lover tried to murder her on her wedding day.
The New Jersey native was obviously inspired by the movie with this song as she sings, “I might kill my ex, not the best idea. His new girlfriend’s next, how’d I get here? … I still love him though.”
SZA’s 20-second music video teaser looks like it follows the same vibe as the Tarantino film. The TDE singer’s clip on Twitter shows her zipping up her leather top and hopping on her motorcycle. She looks like she is ready to get some revenge. The songwriter released a snippet of the music video that is directed by Christian Breslauer, who has worked with popular artists such as Doja Cat and Roddy Ricch. The tease is below with a caption saying, “It’s what y’all deserve.”
