42 Dugg Arrested By the Feds in Detroit Airport

‘We Paid’ rapper 42 Dugg has run into some serious legal trouble in the midst of returning to his hometown.

42 Dugg Forced to Face the Music

42 Dugg was reportedly arrested in Detroit, Michigan, Thursday afternoon (May 5). Federal agents apprehended the Midwest artist swiftly after he de-boarded a flight from Memphis, Tennessee. According to The Detroit News, Dugg was jailed for failing to surrender to a six-month prison sentence on Apr 12.

This is yet another arrest for the 4PF rapper, who has an extensive rap sheet.

It scales back to 2010 when 42 Dugg was convicted of carjacking and felony firearm possession. Since then, he’s had a hard time keeping himself out of trouble. In March 2020, he was again caught possessing a firearm as a felon. He was taken into custody just five months later for evading the police.

Despite all these charges, the ‘Maybach’ rapper narrowly avoided jail time last May. Dugg’s lawyers managed to grab a plea deal for the 10-year sentence felony gun charge. However, the celebration was short-lived. The judge quickly revoked 42 Dugg’s probation and instead sentenced him to six months in jail with two years of supervised release.

Midwest rappers vs. 6ix9ine continues

This comes at an already tumultuous time for 42 Dugg. The Detroit rapper recently blasted sixnine for popping up on Lil Durk’s viral doppelgänger. He subsequently challenged the New York artist to a boxing match, but only if they each earn 500,000.

“I hate it when bitch ass n-ggas do hoe shit to good people,” Dugg said in defense of Perkio. “rat ass n-ggas involving white boys in street shit n-ggas be lames and hoes n-ggas could’ve pulled up on so many other n-ggas they a pull up on a kid with nothing to do wit nothing. Y’all can never expect Ah non street person to understand the streets these n-ggas blowing down on kids tryna ruin kids life knowing Ah real N-gga Ah spit on you bitch n-ggas.”

6ix9ine, of course, didn’t hesitate to respond. “42 Dugg talking about, ‘Yo, if n-ggas see n-ggas ah ah, like’ — yo, 42 Dugg, I’ll smack the shit out you. I will smack fire out you, n-gga. That’s word to my life. I’m on parole, but just me and you, bro? And you say, ‘Yo, let’s lock in a room and get it’? I will smack fire out you with your consent. Stop playing with me, n-gga.”

42 Dugg hasn’t made any further comment at this time. However, with both 6ix9ine and 12 possible years in prison looming over his head, this Michigan mc has a long 2022 ahead of him.

Creating the CMG Management Team’s Instagram page was the first step in Gotti’s business project. Likewise, it has more than 8,500 followers. Moreover, future artists must DM Gotti and the management’s Instagram account if they have the skills.

Mozzy made his way into the CMG family last week with his chaining day. Members of the CMG crew, including Moneybagg Yo and Blac Youngsta, surrounded him and gifted him with a heavy chain. 42 Dugg Says Rae Sremmurd Could Have Dominated TikTok

42 Dugg went on Twitter to claim that Rae Sremmurd would dominate TikTok, if it was around earlier. Swae Lee has also asked him to feature in “SremmLife 4.”

Rae Sremmurd, TikTok And Mannequin Challenge

TikTok is an app that was first launched in 2016 in China. It is a social media app that is focused on short-form videos. This has caused it to become the perfect place for the challenge videos that incorporate copyrighted music. The music in these challenge videos would then blow up, causing the song to become famous.

Coincidentally, also in 2016, Rae Sremmurd became famous for the Mannequin Challenge. The challenge video is to act like a mannequin in time with the song “Black Beatles.” The trend was so popular that it caused the composition to become a No. 1 Hot 100 single and even caused Paul McCartney to hop on the bandwagon.

On February 2, 42 Dugg tweeted that if TikTok was around earlier, then the album Rae Srummurd would dominate the platform.

The next day, Swan Lee responded to the tweet, requesting 42 Dugg to feature on the upcoming “SremmLife 4″ album.

“Need you on that Sremm 4. We started viral challenges to be honest it’s crazy how people react to the music …New albums on the horizon. Take 1 step back to take 10 steps forward.”

“SremmLife 4”

“SremmLife 4” has been in the works since 2018. Rae Sremmurd talked about the upcoming record at the time too. The album was previously promised a 2019 release date, which obviously did not pass.

SremmLife 4,” we’re sticking to the script of what we do on the “SremmLife;” making club bangers, making timeless classics, and just bringing the vibe,” he explained in October 2018. “Me and Slim Jxmmi are coming together for another classic album, our fourth album. “SremmLife 4″ will come early next year.”

What makes Dope Don’t Sell Itself so special? It might be the last trap album of his career. Last summer, 2 Chainz left a cryptic message on Twitter hinting that he was working on his final collection of trap music. It leaves many questions about the next step in 2 Chainz’s career as a veteran MC.

First Glimpse of a First Single

As 2 Chainz teases his new album Dope Don’t Sell Itself, he also announced that its first official single will drop this week. The song, “Million Dollars Worth of Game”, features budding Detroit rapper 42 Dugg. 2 Chainz shared a snippet of the lead single on his Instagram page, and it appears to be a real banger with tons of hit potential. Lakeyah Dreams Of Making It To Hollywood In Her ABCs

During XXL Freshman’s ABCs” segment, Quality Control signee, Lakeyah listed Hollywood when asked to define the letter “H.”

“H stands for Hollywood because that’s where I’m a be,” Lakeyah shares. “We in Atlanta now, but that’s next.”

The rising artist also listed several notable items while doing XXL’s ABCs. For “B,” she declares, “B is for bossy because that’s what I think my music is.” Once Lakeyah reached the letter “O,” she signified it as outstanding. She went on to give Megan Thee Stallion some cred for displaying this attribute.

“Shout-out Meg, she said, ‘I don’t stand outside ’cause I’m too outstanding.'”

When it comes to the letter P, she defined it as something she’s currently doing within the rap industry.

“P is for pressure,” she reports. “I’m pressure. I’m coming with the pressure. I got the pressure.”

Elsewhere in the video, we learn that she’s a hopeless romantic, tall, and ambitious.

Lakeyah surely defines a go-getter as she traveled from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Atlanta, Georgia, to become a successful artist. Because of having busy mornings and sleepless nights, the hip-hop figure made a dream into reality. Some songs that fans recognize her from are “Big FlexHer,” “Poppin,” and City Girls’ “Female Goat.” Recently, she dropped a song titled “Young And Ratchet.”

The Freshman List features ten artists to watch, all of whom appear on the cover of the magazine, and it has a history of showcasing underground rappers and other artists it sees as on the rise. The list has also grown extremely popular over the years and created significant excitement among the general public and artists alike.

The full list of Freshmen for this year includes Morray, 42 Dugg, Flo Milli, Pooh Shiesty, Toosii, Blxst, Iann Dior, Rubi Rose, DDG, Coi Leray and Lakeyah. All of them come from different backgrounds, styles and influences and still they all somehow reflect the current sound of hip-hop, although some people have criticized the list for being too reductive of the actual art form.

The Freshmen

42 Dugg is a Detroit rapper best known for his collaboration with Lil Baby on the track “We Paid.” He’s signed with both Yo Gotti’s CMG Records and Lil Baby’s 4PF imprint, and recently released the project Free Dem Boyz.  In addition, he just recently signed a co-publishing deal with Warner Music.
