Barbados Will Raise Rihanna And A$AP Rocky’s Son

The singing sensation, Rihanna, and rapper, A$AP Rocky, have plans to raise their son in Barbados. The Mirror reported that the first-time parents will move to Barbados while the child is still an infant.

“Both her (Rihanna) and ASAP’s family are in Barbados, so the couple are planning to move there in a few months’ time” – A source tells The Mirror

A$AP and Rihanna’s decision must have been influenced by this. Growing up around family in such a beautiful place is priceless.

The plan is to live in Los Angeles for three months before moving from their current residence. Rihanna grew up in Bridgetown, the capital of Barbados, and now will raise her child there.

Growing Up In Barbados

 

“She wants to give her baby the same experience she had – away from the world of show business” – A source tells The Mirror

Growing up in Barbados’ capital influenced Rihanna so much that she wants to give her child the same influential upbringing. A$AP Rocky and Rihanna’s child will grow up away from show business, but his upbringing will be vastly different from theirs. Both Rihanna and Rocky know what it is like to grow up poor and this will not be the experience for their little one.

TMZ reported that the child, whose name is not public knowledge, was born on May 13.

The public didn’t experience the entirety of Rihanna’s pregnancy. Rihanna announced to everyone back in January that they were having a child. The couple made up for it by showing us how expecting parents should present themselves.

Their baby marinated in epic fashion moments and will be expected to live up to his parents’ trendsetting. Still being a baby, he has time to fill their shoes in the fashion world. For now, he can enjoy growing up in Barbados with both of his parents.

Are Rihanna and A$AP Rocky Expecting?

A rumor has been circulating that Rihanna, the Barbados heroine, is expecting with boyfriend A$AP Rocky. But are the rumors true, or all talk?

Is Rihanna Pregnant?

While some sources are reporting it as accurate, others have debunked this news as a pure rumor. All in all, neither star has made any confirmations, or comments, regarding an expectancy at this time.

The Rot

Supposedly, speculation ignited among fans after photos surfaced of Rihanna accepting an award in her hometown of Bridgetown, Barbados.

Rihanna took the stage to be honored as a national hero by Barbados, as part of a larger ceremony celebrating the countries newfound status as a republic. When fans saw the stunning star’s belly in her beautiful burnt orange gown, which she frequently covered with clasped hands, assumptions began to flow.

However, much of the initial pregnancy reports are now being debunked.

Talk, Debunked

A source indicates that just days before the ceremony, pictures were circulating on Instagram that nullify the rumors.

“Just a day before Rihanna made an appearance in Barbados, she had shown off her figure on Instagram stories while promoting Fenty pajamas.”

And based on those photos, she’s not pregnant. But can anyone know for certain?

As we all know, photos are the worst basis for a confirmation one way or the other. The camera can warp anything from a certain angle, and Ms. Robyn Fenty herself hasn’t commented on any of the current rumors.

Rumors of Rihanna’s Pregnancy Stay Rampant

This isn’t the first time rumors have circulated about a Rihanna pregnancy…and in the past, she’s responded. Earlier this year, the rumor mill got to churning about a possible new baby for Rihanna and A$AP Rocky. The Barbados beauty’s response?

“I don’t think about stuff like that. But I don’t know… God’s plan.”

While A$AP and Rihanna certainly make a gorgeous couple, all the pregnancy rumors are still just talk. But the excitement on social media shows some fans are hoping for a bundle of joy soon…and some fear this could mean the true end of Ri’s music career.

Rihanna Declared Barbados’ National Hero

Robyn “Rihanna” Fenty is now a National Hero of Barbados. As many are asking for her next album, the Barbados native has been making rounds in other areas.

After hundreds of years, Barbados has become a Republic after severing ties with the United Kingdom. Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom is no longer the Head of State. This move officially cuts ties with the UK which has been in place since 1966.

To enumerate the change, appointed its own head of state, Dame Sandra Mason. Until now, she represented the Queen as Barbados’s governor-general. She has officially began serving a four-year term as president.

She specifically addressed Prime Minister Mia Mottley today in a ceremony celebration her countries movement forward.

“Thank you so much for honoring me in this way I have traveled the world and received several awards and recognitions. But nothing, nothing compares to being recognized in the soil you grew in.”

Why is Rihanna Barbados’ National Hero?

A National Hero is someone who has made significant positive contributions to the growth and development of society, and represents all of us. Notably, Rihanna has embodied every ounce of the honor she received. She makes constant and conscious efforts to ensure the advancement of the country she loves so much. Her noble qualities and achievements have brought her admiration from all who have seen her in action.

In 2018, she became an ambassador for Barbados’ education system. In this role, she became responsible for promoting education, tourism, and investment for the island. Barbados Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley told Deadline she believed Rihanna to be especially suited for due to her “creative acumen and shrewdness in business.”

“Rihanna has a deep love for this country and this is reflected in her philanthropy, especially in the areas of health and education. She also shows her patriotism in the way she gives back to Barbados and continues to treasure the island as her home,” Mottley said. “She has demonstrated, beyond her success as a pop icon, significant creative acumen and shrewdness in business. It is therefore fitting that we engage and empower her to play a more definitive role as we work to transform Barbados.”

The Coronavirus pandemic was hard for those affected. In 2020, Rihanna pledged $5 million to poverty stricken countries. Indeed, she sent 700,000 ventilators to her home country. She made this donation through her Clara Lionel Foundation.

Obviously, this does not cover all of her amazing contributions to her beloved country. But it illustrates the Prime Ministers distinguished honor to Ms. Fenty.
