Belly, The Weeknd, and Young Thug Link Up for New Single “Better Believe”

Belly, The Weeknd, and Young Thug came together in a new single and music video, “Better Believe”

Three big names came together to release a single, titled “Better Believe,” on Thursday. Unsurprisingly, Belly, The Weeknd, and Young Thug are three names fans were excited to hear on the same song. So far, it is safe to say the collaboration did not disappoint. On the track, the three artists take their turn rapping about their struggles with success and haters praying on their downfall.

“Fuck with my name could be fatal, none of my [friends are] stable, they turn a crown to a halo”

The music video features the three artists in different locations. We see The Weeknd in a stylish suit doing donuts in an all-black car at night. Following that, we see a car on fire behind him. Belly similarly does his verse from a car, following the Weekend’s lead with fire blazing behind him. Young Thug delivers his verse with women around him, showing off his watch and fit. The three make it clear in the video that they are powerful, above the average, and successful.

“Baby we ain’t in the same bracket, they riding waves this is Lake Placid”

The song will appear on Belly’s upcoming album, See You Next Wednesday. This has fans excited for other potential big names to appear on the album, considering the instant success and general positive rating from fans. Belly set the bar high with this track and its features, and no one is surprised!

Jay-Z & The Weeknd give Belly’s New Album “Seal of Approval”

Jay-Z & The Weeknd give Belly’s New Album “Seal of Approval.”

Belly is known to work with many artists over the years, such as contributing R&B songs for XO and even Beyonce. His last album back in 2018 with a couple of singles was what we were left with. In April of 2020, he shared on Twitter what he’s been dealing with through the years. From dealing with PTSD and being on anti-depressants, Belly has taken time to work on himself for his well being. It wasn’t until this year on Twitter he announced his album was done but wasn’t complete until Jay-Z & The Weeknd gave Belly’s album the seal of approval.

“The last couple years have been fucked up for me in almost every way,” Belly wrote in an Instagram post. “I’ve been in and out of therapy for over a year(depression, PTSD). I gotta do physical therapy twice a week (back/neck injuries), and I can’t even tour or travel too much. I got put on anti-depressants (I’m off now), lost my confidence & regained most of the weight that I lost.”

The name of the album See You Next Wednesday doesn’t have a release date just yet. The misleading title had us thinking it was gonna be out on the 20th, but who knows, and now it’s a waiting game. With being on a hiatus, who knows what Belly has in store. Being signed by XO and Jay-Z’s Roc Nation, this brings a promising list of possible collaborations.

Belly Releases “Mumble Rap” Music Video

If your fly, I’m turbulence“, claims Roc Nation artist Belly in his new music video for “Mumble Rap” just released over the weekend.  This one line was just one of many bars and punch lines, that deal with money, drugs, life, women, and being on top of the game.  What any good rapper would basically spit about.  The video concept is as deranged and strange as the track itself.  On first look , you probably would not get the concept of the video,  but you will definitely appreciate the choreography.  There is more of a story line, as well as dancing.  Something missed from most rap videos to this day. Kudos to the creative mind of the director,  Karena Evans.
