Benny The Butcher Responds To Claims His Music Not Getting The Ladies “In the Mood”

There has been a narrative for a while that the lyrics of Benny the Butcher’s songs are not for women. Benny has decided to strike back against that image, slightly.

On November 16, a woman tweeted out that she did not want to date somebody listening to Benny’s songs. Benny actually responded to her. “So u tryna tell me Crowns For Kings don’t get the Ladies in the mood”.

“Crowns For Kings” was a song from his 2019 extended play “The PlugsI Met”. The song was produced by the late DJ Shay and featured Black Thought.

“Crowns For Kings” was not made for feminism.

Ironically, this song was chosen out of all of the songs he could have picked. Benny had to pick the one that talks directly to the listener and assumes their skin color and, more importantly, their gender. “You know the feeling, young black male, what y’all dealin’?” Despite that misfortunate line, however, he might be onto something.

The lyrics are about taking over from the previous generation and making your own style from it. Feminism is all about making your style from what life gives you while trying to improve said conditions whenever you can. According to Benny the Butcher, having half of that in the song is good enough.

Another, more traditional, example of feminism’s morphing styles to create something unique is M.I.A’s “Bad Girls”. She mixes ultra-conservative middle eastern music with street culture and lyrics about sexual empowerment and how she will never stop her way of life.

More important than what Benny thinks is what the fans think. The replies said that his music is as good as any other music as the backbone of a relationship. However, the intended audience does not affect the quality of a song. If it is good, then it is good and nothing more needs to be said.

Freddie Gibbs Shares The Tracklist For His New Album

Freddie Gibbs is dropping his new album “$oul $old $eparately” on Friday, Sep 30. Yesterday, Gibbs shared the 14-song tracklist for the highly anticipated 2022 release. There are also tons of big-name stars & talents that we see the Indiana rapper collaborate with on this project.

Pusha T, Offset, Anderson.Paak, Rick Ross, Scarface, DJ Paul, Raekwon, Musiq Soulchild & Kelly price appear in the credits of the tracklist. Many of these names are expected on a Freddie album, but it’ll be intriguing to hear what he’ll do with Offset & Anderson.Paak. So far, we’ve only listened to the official single “Too Much,” featuring Memphis artist Moneybagg Yo.

The Currents Beef In His Career Presently

Much coverage around Freddie Gibbs has recently been surrounded by his online back & forths with Buffalo rapper Benny the Butcher. Unfortunately, their feud has gone as far as entering real-world results/incidents.

A few months ago, Freddie ended up in an altercation with a large group of men (allegedly tied to Benny) at a restaurant in Buffalo, NY. Before & outside of this event, both artists have hurled physical threats toward each other for a while now. Even a Funk Flex freestyle came out today, September 20th, where Freddie disses Benny (and DJ Akademiks).

The Versatility Of Freddie Gibbs

One expectation fans have for Freddie is to display his complete versatility in 2022. Obviously, he’s primarily famous for his lyrical collaborative tapes with heavy involvement of samples. However, Freddie has always been an artist with tons of hard bangers. Even this album’s single “Too Much” with Moneybagg Yo sounds like a certified hit that’s true to his style/character.

Do you expect “$oul $old $eparately” to live up to the expectations set by previous releases? And do you think Freddie Gibbs’ new album will experiment & show off multiple rap styles here?

Video Surfaces Of Freddie Gibbs Going Against Benny The Butcher’s Team

Freddie Gibbs and Benny Butcher (well…his team) decided to square up this past weekend. The group of individuals ambushed the Bandana rapper before his performance at Buffalo‘s Dinosaur Bar-B-Que restaurant.

The tussle stems from the MC’s beef throughout these past months.

The video shows Gibbs getting physically assaulted by what seems to be Butcher’s entourage. While Freddie is getting battered down, one person says, “Welcome to Buffalo.” The rapper was at this venue on Saturday for his Space Rabbit Tour.

After the fight, photos of Gibbs spread like wildfire. On Monday, several snaps went on Twitter of him donning a ski mask. Did he leave Benny’s hometown? No. But his swollen eye might promise a swift arrival in due time.

Sources also add that Gibbs left without his chain. But, the rapper put these rumors to rest after showcasing a screenshot of a text exchange. Others believe the “Gang Sign” spitter penned the messages.

Had Gibbs not taunted Butcher online, all of this could’ve been avoided.

The back-and-forth between the two started in March. Gibbs, who clowned other MCs in the past, decided to have a go at Butcher. The “Johnny P’s Caddy” collaborator stated during an interview on Spotify’s Most Necessary: Live that he and Gibb’s working relationship “came and went.”

Gibbs obviously didn’t take this comment lightly. Rather than speaking to the rapper directly, he took jabs and him and his team. He even ridiculed Benny for getting shot in the leg amidst an attempted robbery in 2020.

Yikes, let’s hope Butcher and Gibbs become cordial soon. ‘Till then, stay tuned at FMHipHop for the newest scoop!

Freddie Gibbs and Beef: “Yep it is me and I don’t give a fuck”

Freddie Gibbs has a common denominator in beef over his career. He is constantly in less than favorable exchanges with someone. It is so bad that a fan joked about the situation on Twitter and Freddie agreed.

On April 5, a fan joked about the beef, saying that he is starting to think that it is Gibbs that is starting them. However, within the hour Gibbs responded to the tweet, saying that it is him and he doesn’t care.

The most recent beef that Gibbs has had is with Benny the Butcher.

Gibbs’ beef with Benny the Butcher is over their attempt to work together not working out. Benny talked about it in an interview, saying that the opportunity “came and went”. However, Gibbs was not happy with being mentioned at all. He posted a video on Instagram telling him to not say anything next time.

“Nigga said working with Freddie Gibbs came and went. I know some other shit that came and went too, nigga. Just keep my name out y’all mouth when y’all talking to people or doing interviews and shit. Just say, ‘Next question. I don’t want to talk about that nigga, man.’ Just say, ‘Next muthafuckin’ question.’ For real.”

Gibb’s and beef

The beef before this one also follows a similar pattern. Gibbs was upset with Gunna because he implied that Gibbs was a snitch and was going to be on the show “Crime Stoppers”.

At least Freddie Gibbs is admitting that he is the one with the problem, even if he is not willing to do anything about it. The problem seems to be that Gibbs wants to be the only one that deals with his perception in the public. One thing is certain, one person he doesn’t seem to have beef with is Joe Rogan

Freddie Gibbs & Benny The Butcher Engage In A Tweet Battle

The quarrels between Freddie Gibbs & Benny The Butcher do not seem to end soon. A recent feud took place on social media over the weekend.

It all started with an interview during Spotify Greenroom’s Most Necessary Live early on March. In said interview, Butcher commented on her working relationship with Gibbs as “Came and went.”

On March 24, and after learning of the comments, Gibbs took to Instagram and upload a video where he asked not to be mentioned.

“Just keep my name out y’all mouth, man, when y’all talking to people who are doing interviews and shit. Just say ‘next question, man. I don’t want to talk about that n***a, man.’”

The Twitter Discussion Over The Weekend

On Friday, March 25, the situation between both rappers escalated on Twitter. It started with Benny the Butcher, after dropping a supposed—but somewhat obvious— tweet towards Gibbs after his reaction on Instagram.

The fight didn’t stop there, as on Sunday morning the 27th, Gibbs tweeted the following phrase “Shout out my Houston n***az.

The argument continued with Benny posting a tweet that same day. There, Butcher allegedly claimed that Gibbs begged him to do a collaborative album with him.

“How can u hate on a n***a u begged to do an album with…TT4 OUT NOW !!!”

Freddie Gibbs’ Instagram Stories

But Freddie Gibbs wasn’t far behind. The rapper took to his Instagram and posted a series of stories responding to Butcher’s recent post.

“N***az whole marteking plan for they album is to beef with Freddie Gibbs. That’s cute 🥰 😂” Gibbs wrote on Instagram. “If you opened up for me before just be grateful 🐰❤️”

Minutes later Gibbs added ” Why would I beg a n***a to work with me when he do less than me?😂”

And after this, he ended up with his fourth and last story of the day ” Next time just get the Drake verse cleared and u ain’t gotta do all this for promo 🐰 I’m out ✌🏿”

Still not satisfied, Gibbs returned to his Twitter account and wrote the following: “I ain’t mad cuz I know they just doing it for promo.”

and finally ended up with a last tweet

“F**k em. Everybody can’y love us. 🐰”

Benny The Butcher Claims Freddie Gibbs Begged Him For Collab

Benny the Butcher has recently released his newest album, Tana Talk 4. He is trying to up sales by making up stories about the production. He also claims that Freddie Gibbs begged to be on the album. Gibbs called him out on the lie.

On Mar. 27, Benny tweeted that Gibbs begged to be on Tana Talk 4. On the same day, Gibbs responded on Instagram, saying that this was just a marketing strategy. He also said that Benny should feel blessed to even open for him and that he would never beg to work with someone that does not do as much work as him.

The beef between the two originate from last year. They were working on a joint album and were about to go on tour. However, Gibbs tweeted out “N*ggaz don’t put the cities they get robbed in on the tour dates,” referencing the time that he was shot in Houston in 2020.

Their beef reemerged recently in late 2021. There was a rumor that someone had punched Gibbs in the face, and when Benny learned of this, he responded with laughing emojis. The most recent mention of Gibbs before this was when Benny was in an interview with Ebro. He was asked if the album that he was working with Gibbs on is ever going to be released. The answer to which was probably never.

They have released a song together in the past once, “Frank Lucas,” but they also had The Alchemist to balance them out. It turns out that he was the secret ingredient to getting them working together.

Benny The Butcher Shows Respect To Late Notorious B.I.G On “10 More Commandments”

Benny The Butcher shows his respect to the late Notorious B.I.G. on “10 More Commandments” from the “Tana Talk 4” album released Friday (March 11). New York natives who rose from concrete.

However, Biggie’s original commandments are the divine rules of the streets. Benny’s new song continues B.I.G.’s “Ten Crack Commandments” released in 1997 on the “Life After Death” album.

Benny Gets The Stamp of Approval

The Griselda Representative explains his experience creating the song. But then, he touches base on a few commandments which apply today. In addition, he prioritizes getting a blessing for the record from the likes of DJ Premier and rap mogul Diddy, who came up with Biggie.

“How [Biggie] did one through ten, I went from 11 to 20. I covered the things that he didn’t cover,” Benny tells Apple Music’s Ebro Darden. “Like no social media posting — that’s something that he couldn’t talk about. I just filled in a few blanks.”

11th Commandment

Bad Boy Records C.E.O., Diddy gives his stamp of approval and features on the record. Benny The Butcher encourages leaving the streets soon as possible in his eleventh commandment. The two emphasize this since success in the industry is about longevity and elevation.

“The first chance you get, you better get out this shit.
Them old stories how you was gettin’ dough won’t amount to shit”

Furthermore, Diddy ends the song with highly encouraging words showing love to the black community and reminding listeners of who they are and the purpose they serve.

“It’s all in the mindset, Diddy says. We one of the world’s most valuable commodities… That’s Black culture, baby. We all legal now. We just gotta stick together and unify…get back to love, that Black love.”

“We are the original man, the Black man is God
And the Black woman gave birth to the Black man
You can imagine what she is”

Mark “The Wizard” Lee directs the “10 More Commandments” video. He follows Benny The Butcher through New York City streets. A cameo from D.J. Premier, who produces Biggie’s original “Ten Crack Commandments.” In addition, there are appearances from Fabolous, Boldy James, The Alchemist, and Daringer. Benny The Butcher respects Biggie, hip-hop, and black culture in “10 More Commandments.”

Benny The Butcher Addresses ‘Tana Talk 4,’ Censorship & Releases Cover Art

The world first caught a glimpse of “Tana Talk 4” on the recent single “Johnny’s P’s Caddy” featuring J.Cole, which stands at no. 72 on Billboard charts. New York rapper Benny The Butcher will release his highly anticipated album Friday, March 11.

“Tana Talk 4” Cover Art

Another tease into the album came on Monday as Benny shares the “Tana Talk 4” cover art on Instagram. A strikingly vivid oil painting of himself, his cousin/collaborator, and also late brother Machine Gun Black as children.

“It just don’t get no more authentic than this,” he writes. “Art by @itsmariel, a painting of MGB ME & @westsidegunn I BEEN makin classic music but it’s more to it than that. This shit about Levels, real n-ggas Power & Connections. I can feel the streets rootin for me it’s drowning out all the haters.”

Benny The Butcher also uses this post to explain what is happening with his contract. He explains “Tana Talk 4” will be released independently through EMPIRE. His future projects will go through the Def Jam record label.

“Produced solely by @daringer_ & @alanthechemist this my last independent Album thank u @empire,” he says. “After this drop I’m walkin in the Def Jam office as an Underground King…Machine Gun We did it !!!! 3/11”

There is also a mural of the cover art in Buffalo, NY, where the trio grew up. Griselda’s representative shares on Twitter, “On the Corner on Genesee & Doat right across from Montana ave. We call this part of the hood ‘The Island.'”

Censoring Benny

Following the mural release, The Butcher publicly shares the backlash on the album’s censorship on Twitter. The 37-year-old MC has since released numerous projects, including Burden of Proof, The Plugs I Met, and the Pyrex Picasso EP. All of which also share the rawness Benny’s of coming up in New York streets. Therefore, he takes to Twitter to express that censorship is incompatible with his art.

“They tryna get me to change my words on TT4 and sensor me too much real shit being said,” he also tweets.

Hopes of No. 1 Album

The Griselda rapper also exudes confidence for his upcoming album “Tana Talk 4,” the follow-up project to “Tana Talk 3,” which enhanced Benny The Butcher’s notoriety. On itsrikip’s Instagram, he states, “Album of the year or consideration before it even came out or even heard a single. I got 10 bands to anyones five, and I got 20 bands to anyones 10. Who wants to take that bet?”

On the “Johnny P’s Caddy” single, Benny The Butcher opens the verse saying,

“Tana Talk 4, this shit mean a lot to me. Know what I mean?…This ain’t my story ’bout rags to riches. More ’bout how I mastered physics”

Naturally, operating with a confident vibration took Benny The Butcher from Montana Ave to a management deal with JAY-Z’s Roc Nation. It is also undeniable that he continues to reach new heights. Therefore, if anyone is to project the numbers on his album, it is the artist himself. Benny The Butcher’s “Tana Talk 4 is to release on March 11 with features including J. Cole, Diddy, fellow Griselda members, Conway the Machine, and Westside Gunn.

Benny The Butcher’s “Tana Talk 4” Release Date Has Been Revealed

DJ Premier revealed that Benny the Butcher’s much-anticipated LP, “Tana Talk 4,” will be released next month. The producer let fans know on his Twitter account yesterday, January 31, that the album will arrive on February 11. He also released a small snippet of a track from the album. Based on the one song alone, the album sounds promising. Listen to the preview below.

“Tana Talk 4”

Butcher did not confirm the release date himself but posted on Instagram that TT4 is coming, tagging DJ Premier.

“Pyrex Picasso came to play @djpremier TT4,” he wrote.

Earlier this month, Butcher teased fans about the new album, already crowning it as album of the year. “…Who wanna bet my shit go crazy when I drop ‘Tana Talk 4,’” Benny asked his fans in an Instagram video. “If anybody doubting me, who wanna bet? What we talking about? Who wanna bet me?”

He recently also released his song with J.Cole, “Johnny P’s Caddy,” which will appear in the album. The music video for the track was also released. “Tana Talk 4″ serves as the follow-up to his critically acclaimed “Tana Talk 3,” which led to him landing a record deal with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation label.

Benny The Butcher Stays Busy

Aside from his LP potentially releasing next month, the rapper also teased his return to radio station Power 106’s L.A. Leakers series. The series showcases rappers’ freestyle skills while also promoting their new projects.

Aside from teasing his latest LP, he also executive produced newcomer Grafh’s self-titled debut album, released on October 15. The album also featured Bun B, Chyi Da Prince, Styles P, Rick Hyde, and Butcher himself.

Last year, he appeared on Rick Ross’ “Rapper’s Estates” off of “Richer Than I Ever Been,” and his collaboration with Drake had leaked. He also joined Dave East and Harry Fraud on their single “HOFFA.”

Benny the Butcher and J. Cole Lyrically Spar on “Johnny’s P’s Caddy”

Lyrical Giants Collide On New Single, “Johnny’s P’s Caddy”

In the era of clout chasing, dissing dead opps, and social media flex, Benny the Butcher and J. Cole collaborate and deliver some clarity. The artists, thus, recorded a new track.  Also, this is the first single from the Griselda artist’s upcoming album, “Tana Talk 4.” The drum-heavy, no chorus, lyrical onslaught definitely lives up to the hype, and here is the review:

“Come easily? no good, don’t be surprised I outlast these niggas It’s like they put out a smash thеn they gone in a flash, admit it—And then thеy made tracks and diss us like that’s gon’ add up the digits (Fuck you doin’?).” – Benny the Butcher

“They wanna know what I brought to Griselda, I say, “Validity” They asked’ “What work y’all niggas putin?” I’m like, “What didn’t we?”— Benny the Butcher

Benny the Butcher leads the way on this Alchemist’s produced track solidifying his place in hip-hop for the long term. Rapping his rise to fame, Benny uses analogies to explain the depths of hardships he endured to arrive here. Benny raps, “In the game, I used to train like Rocky, catchin chickens.”

Confidently, the Buffalo MC raps about maintaining longevity in this rap game and not faltering like other rappers. Artists such as Blueface and Desiigner have released hit singles to become irrelevant due to their inability to continuously create music that appeals to the masses. This trend seems more prevalent than ever, with untalented artists chasing TikTok singles, i.e., The Island Boys. Instead of rappers improving their craft, artists resort to dissing another rapper in hopes of clout and/or a resurgence. Regardless of any diss song or attempt on the Griselda member’s life, he seems undeterred from claiming his stake in the game.

“On God, The Best Rapper Alive” – J. Cole

J. Cole returns in 2022 for his 37th birthday (January 28), with spicy bars that could be misconstrued as a slight to other rappers. The fearlessness is evident in “Johnny’s P’s Caddy,” as Cole raps. “Of course, I’m tryin’ to revive a sport that’s dyin’/But the guns and the drug bars that y’all relyin’.” Cole continues with the bars, “Got these nerds thinkin’ that you niggas hard as I am/But that just mean I ain’t as comfortable as y’all with lyin’.”

It seems the “Middle Child” rapper has assumed the title of the “whistleblower of rap.” Daringly calling out rappers who tend to deceive the culture and their fans.

J. Cole’s breathtaking feature didn’t stop there as he claims the “best rapper alive” title. The platinum artist also claims to out-rap Jesus on a track, “Nigga want me on a song, he gon’ see the wrath of the reaper, I’m prolly gon’ go to Hell if Jesus ask for a feature.”

Benny the Butcher acknowledges “Johnny’s P’s Caddy,” was no small feat, as he stated in a recent Rolling Stone interview. “Any rapper will tell you when you’re working with someone like Cole it’s like a match of wits,” Benny shared. “You gotta go crazy because you know he is. Iron sharpens iron. You want it to be an environment where someone has the presence to push you.”

When Is The Album Release?

“Johnny P’s Caddy” is on all major platforms, including the YouTube video above. Benny the Butcher has yet to announce an official release date for Tana Talk 4.
