Yung Miami Claims She’s Retired From Rap, “…I don’t even rap no more!”

It looks like Yung Miami of the Miami-bred duo City Girls may be already retired from the rap game. On Sunday, Yung Miami tweeted her reactions to the game between the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons and Los Angeles Rams. Another Twitter user asked the QC artist if she understood the game of football.

“Yes, I cheered up until high school, I know football very well!!!!!!”, she responded. This led to another person telling Yung Miami to make better music.

“B**** I don’t even rap no more! Eat this p**** h*e I retired!,” Yung Miami exclaimed. This has led many fans to believe she may have already retired from rap. If so, she may lean towards her new role in media. Yung Miami’s Caresha Please podcast launched on P. Diddy’s Revolt network earlier this year. So far, the show has featured guests such as Megan Thee Stallion, Kevin Gates, Saweetie and Diddy himself.

“Revolt is about giving a platform to the most authentic and disruptive voices in Hip-Hop that move the culture,” Puff stated in June. “Yung Miami is not only a superstar artist, she’s also unapologetically herself and brings a perspective women around the world can relate to, which is why I’m excited to bring her podcast to life.”

Caresha Please earned a nomination for Best Hip Hop Platform at this year’s BET Awards. City Girls have also picked up nods at both the BET Awards and the Billboard Music Awards over the last three years. In 2021, they received the “The Future is Female” award from Variety.

The duo haven’t released an album since 2020’s City On Lock. However, their latest track “Good Love” featuring Usher peaked at #70 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in July. As of now, it remains to be seen if Yung Miami has truly called it quits.

The City Girls Address Gossip Surrounding Their Revolt Summit Performance

The City Girls have decided to address the awkward situation that took place during their Revolt Summit Performance. Fans were confused as to why Yung Miami abruptly exited the stage, leaving JT looking as if she didn’t know what was going on. We’re now learning that JT’s look of confusion had nothing to do with why Yung Miami leaving the stage. JT explained “I was confused as to how to end the show being that it was a very short show.” We both walked to separate ends of the stage to say bye to everybody. My side was just further from the exit.

Rumors Around Yung Miami’s Exit

Since fans were unable figure out why Yung Miami would just leave in the manner that she did, they were left to speculate. This  caused rumors to circulate around social media. One of the rumors was that Yung Miami left early because she didn’t like the crowd. Another was that she walked off the stage because she was pissed off and she and JT were beefing. According to the duo, none of that is true. The City Girls are childhood friends who are still friends. Now that the ladies have came out and spoken on the matter, maybe the rumors will cease, well at least for now.

City Girls No Stranger To Controversy

This is not the first time that the City Girls have found themselves having to answer to their fans about their behavior. JT in particular has been in a couple of hot seats. She has gotten into it with a couple of celebrities such as Erykah Badu, whom she called a “bald head miserable ass B**ch”. JT also came for Lil Wayne’s daughter Reginae calling her a “corny hoe”. She said that T.I.’s wife Tiny wasn’t pretty. She tweeted once that she wanted R. Kelly to get raped by singer R. Kelly who is now awaiting his sentence for racketeering and sex trafficking. She almost goth the group cancelled when some of her problematic tweets resurfaced were deemed Homophobic and Anti-Haitian.

Now most recently, when one of the fans called Yung Miami out for walking off the stage at the during the group’s Revolt Summit Performance, Yung Miami replied saying “Girl, the show was over was called by someone online for exiting the stage as she did, Yung Miami responded saying “Girl the show was over! WTF yo wanted me to stand there and smile? Fuck you!” It’s always something.

Fans Are Reacting to City Girl’s Yung Miami and Lil Uzi Vert Back-and-Forth on Instagram Live

By Prince Hakeem

Apparently, the City Girls are down bad.

JT and Yung Miami have been trending since last night after a supposed incident on Instagram Live involving Lil Uzi Vert took place. JT and Lil Uzi Vert have been an item for a while now. Even though it seems like the most random and odd pairing as far as celebrity couples go, fans have been enjoying their back-and-forth antics.

Since last night’s Instagram live, social media has been abuzz, particularly the exchange of words between Yung Miami and Uzi. Many users did not like the way Uzi was talking to Yung Miami. Things seemed to escalate when JT tried to intervene, only to have Uzi bark at her to stay quiet. There’s been some speculation about growing tension brewing between Uzi and Yung Miami. This most recent IG live wasn’t the first time either of them got into it. Check it out.

After much of social media has weighed, Yung Miami and Uzi responded. Caresha didn’t seem too phased by how harsh everyone seemed to have taken his words. Uzi seemingly cleared the air, stating it was a joke and that Yung Miami curses him out often.

It may have been fun and games for them, but one person who wasn’t pleased with all was Yung Miami’s partner producer, 808 Southside. He fired off a profanity-laced threat at Uzi, demanding he leaves her alone.

Fans have been weighing all day with think pieces and hilarious reactions. Check out here.

City Girls’ JT Claps Back: “You Can’t Cancel Nobody”

JT of City Girls has returned to her verified Twitter account after briefly taking a short break from the platform. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen celebrities old tweets resurfacing early in their careers.

Some  users found some of her old tweets to be funny, while others found them to be very distasteful. Some of the tweets touched on R. Kelly, racial issues and had a few colorist remarks, along with other sensitive issues.

On Tuesday afternoon, JT returned with a series of tweets addressing those who have publicly called her out and criticized the resurfaced tweets.

“Y’all kill me acting like Twitter was always woke,” she said, later saying she takes Twitter as something she does for fun while reserving her “dead a** serious” side for her life outside of social media.

“If your account say since 2018 you don’t make the rules of Twitter [and] you can’t cancel nobody,” she said in another tweet. “You just got here you are in orientation.”

“I been on here since 2011 If y’all wanna read my tweets from when I was mad getting off work that’s on y’all,” she continued in a separate tweet.

After responding to some of the criticism, JT eventually deactivated her Twitter and continued to address the situation on her Instagram Story. Judging by those she’s seemingly isn’t taking the criticism all too serious but does want people to stop bringing up the old tweets.

“Nah all jokes aside,” she wrote. “stop searching them tweets cause I don’t feel like slapping a b**ch back into the same year I was talking about them in.”

But as JT confirmed on her temporary account, her verified page will return once the tweets have been completely removed.

This page a joke,” she wrote on Monday. “I’ll be back on my old page very professional once the mass delete is done I might keep this one & put it on private.”
