PnB Rock’s Murder Investigation Focusing On Past Beefs

PnB Rock’s murder investigation is now shifting focus to his past beefs. According to TMZpolice are under the impression that the Philly rapper’s killing may not have been random. Instead, it may have been deliberately planned by Rock’s enemies.

The focus shifts in PnB Rock’s death

PnB Rock’s investigation is currently under the direction of the LAPD, with detectives digging into his personal life. The main focus is on those who Rock may have butted heads with, leading to potential beefs. Investigators are also interested in his connections to Atlanta, where he spent quite a bit of time. The “Selfish” artist’s lyrics have also been looked at to see if he referenced any enemies.

As everyone knows, PnB Rock was sharing a meal with his girlfriend at a Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffles in LA last Monday when he was attacked and killed. Police initially thought it was a robbery gone wrong, with the killers being random thieves who came across the rapper’s location on social media. But due to the deliberate nature of the crime, the LAPD believe that the killing may be part of a vendetta.

Leads in the investigation

The police are also trying to identify the suspects and/or the getaway car. Per TMZ, they are trying to track it down through camera feeds. But even with the assistance of tips, it’s taking time to see which leads are legit.

Police have also dismissed the idea that Rock’s girlfriend, Steph, had anything to do with his murder. Outraged fans put forth the idea that she posted their location on purpose to set Rock up. However, she isn’t believed to have been involved with the crime in any way.

PnB Rock’s body is set to be released to his family after a drawn out process. His mother did not want an autopsy performed on religious grounds, but under the law, one had to be performed.

Fetty Luciano Charged With Attempted Murder

Rowdy Rebel’s brother, Fetty Luciano, has found himself in trouble with the law. Sources say that on July 10th, Luciano shot three people, including a security guard, at a private pool party set at a lavish hotel in Long Island. He’s now paying the price for his alleged actions. Luciano can either pay $200K in cash or obtain a $400K bond for his bail.

The Big Fendi Celebrity Pool Party has over 200 attendees, with two of them getting into an altercation. Once the security guard attempted to break up this fight, shots were fired toward the lobby. The guilt from his decisions led him to the Glen Cove Police station. Not only is Fetty facing an attempted murder charge, but he’s also being reprimanded for reckless endangerment and weapons charges. The attempted murder charge could land Fetty in jail for 25 years. Luckily, the victims have harmless injuries.

Glen Cove’s mayor Pamela Panzenbeck spoke with ABC 7 NY about the matter:

“A private party that was advertised on social media, it has happened before. We’ve had noise complaints but never anything like this. No permit was issued for this party because we had a complaint about a party last week. So, there will be no permits for parties like this.”

Bobby Shmurda’s GS9 affiliate, Fetty Luciano, dropped a project titled Story to Tell in 2018. Story To Tell holds collaborations from Gunna, Landsptrip Chip, and Bobby himself. He also has a verse on Pop Smoke’s “Double It.”

Fetty started rapping during a prison sentencing. His father and brother, Rowdy Rebel, encouraged him to pursue rapping after hearing a few of his rhymes on the phone. Since then, he’s been honing his craft and wearing the G9 status with pride.

He told Billboard, “The next step is keeping the name alive before Bobby and Rowdy even touch the streets.” he continues, “We don’t want them to come home, and they come home to what we were doing a few years back. So we want to keep that name alive.”

The artwork for “Story to Tell” sees Luciano looking down at himself handcuffed while waiting in a court line.

Nipsey Hussle’s Killer, Eric Holder, Is Standing A Trial

Nipsey Hussle’s killer Eric Holder is currently on trial. The Hip-Hop artist and clothing store owner died from a bullet on March 31, 2019.

The supposed reason for Nipsey Hussle’s killing is his suggesting that Holder took care of the rumors about “some paperwork floating around.” Holder reportedly claimed the rumors were “bulls**t” and shot the artist several times. Restoring his dignity, Holder now has a high chance to spend the rest of his life in prison, proving that he’s not a snitch.

“There’s a range of consequences for people who snitch,” Deputy District Attorney John McKinney carefully explained to the jury. “No gang member wants to be considered a snitch.”

“You’re Through,” Holder Stated; You got me,” Nipsey Replied

When Eric Holder first came to the Nipsey Hussle’s clothing store, they seemingly had a friendly conversation. According to Hussle’s friend, Herman Douglas, Holder asked Nipsey whether he checked Eric’s songs.

Nipsey then warned Eric about the snitching rumors. Douglas didn’t worry about the interaction and returned to the store. However, McKinney stated that Holder also told Hussle, “you are through.”

The below took place after:

“He was shot literally from the bottom of his feet to the top of his head. The bullet perforated Nipsey’s lungs, one bullet transected his spine, and one bullet went through the liver,” McKinney described.

Holder’s Defense Attorney, Aaron Jenson, didn’t argue that Holder committed such acts. However, he claimed that the defendant’s actions resulted from “heat of passion.”

Jenson explained that Nipsey warning Holder about the snitching rumors enraged the defendant to the point of losing control and committing murder.

The Heat Of Horror

Whether the murder is a result of deliberate actions or occurred due to the “heat of passion,” it’s pretty horrifying that it takes 9 minutes to choose between human life and reputation. As well as the fact that it takes a human life to restore one’s reputation.

Considering that the expected result of “snitching” is one facing punitive legal consequences, it makes me think of how unfortunate the consequences might be. What kinds of things happen in prisons if one is willing to murder after nine minutes of thinking about choosing between the above or having the reputation of a snitch.

While there’s no justification for murder and the murderer belongs in jail, the legal system might want to reconsider itself. At least to prevent further killings on similar motives and possibly even for the sake of humanism.

6ix9ine Snitching Again? 600Breezy Says So!

Southside Chicago rapper 600Breezy got out of prison after serving just under 90 days for a parole violation, getting in the feud with 6ix9ine afterward. 600Breezy also posted a photo via Instagram in an orange jumpsuit with the caption, “2-22-22 He’s Back,” with a purple devil emoji.

6ix9ine At It Again With 600Breezy?

Last December, 600Breezy was arrested in Polk County, Iowa, for what he alleges as making threats to the one and only Tekashi 6ix9ine, as well as posting guns on social media. Last February, 600Breezy and 6ix9ine engaged in a heated argument over Instagram live. After making some unkind remarks about the late King Von and OTF affiliates, the Chiraq rapper responded to the Chiraq troll:

“You gon’ die when I see you, respectfully, I’m not Meek, n-gga. And you gotta move around with security ’cause you bitch. You have security ’cause you a ho, n-gga … You gon’ die, n-gga. Your security guards better be strapped, all that. You police, fed-ass n-gga. You fake ass, bitch ass, police ass n-gga.”

Several weeks later, 600Breezy accused 6ix9ine of snitching after learning a warrant for his arrest. Upon release, 600Breezy attempts to validate his snitching allegation agaiinst 6ix9nie by posting a picture on Instagram Live of the court hearing minutes of testimony.

600Breezy 6ix9ine Feud Develops On The Basis Of Snitching
Instagram

While the minutes of testimony do state:

“Attorney that client King had made a video saying that he was going to murder Rapper 6ix9ine and had guns posted on his Instagram….”

This does not necessarily infer that 6ix9ine reported 600Breezy to the authorities. Once Breezy made threats on a social platform, he left his fate with the general public.

Is 600Breezy a Changed Man?

With his recent stint in prison and several others, will 30-year-old 600Breezy clean up his act? Less than six months ago, it was reported that 600Breezy had an overload of social media posts tracking the progress of his lifestyle changes. Drug-free for seven months, exercising and distancing himself from the violence, Breezy appeared to be on the up and up. Will he continue to maintain that trajectory and focus on the music despite the setback?

Only time will tell.

Soulja Boy & Lil Yachty Partake In Ponzi Scheme Class Action Lawsuit

Soulja Boy and Lil Yachty are in a class-action lawsuit over the crypto SafeMoon Tokens. They were a part of a “pump and dump” scheme allegedly executed by SafeMoon founder Braden John Karony.

According to the lawsuit, Karony’s scheme mimicked a Ponzi scheme by misleading investors to purchase SafeMoon tokens under the pretext of unrealistic profits. They did this through celebrity endorsements, such as Soulja Boy and Lil Yachty. The pyramid also created artificial inflation to maximize profits.

Soulja Boy doing something like this should be no surprise. He is always doing shady things to try to make a quick buck. This should not surprise anyone. This is not even the first time that Soulja Boy has done this exact thing. In 2021, he accidentally revealed how much he got paid to promote a cryptocurrency.

Lil Yachty, however, is a bit more of a shock. The shock is also not from the artist committing a crime. Yachty previously committed banking-related crimes. They were either credit card fraud or bounced checks. However, this is the first time he has committed a crime with cryptocurrencies. He first started getting into crypto in 2020 and realized the power of his influence. The social token he was selling, $Yachty, had sold out in only 20 minutes.

The case has only just begun. It is currently unknown what the punishment is going to be. The two rappers could evade punishment by placing the blame squarely on Karony. It is still too early to tell where the case will go. We will keep you updated as the case evolves.

RZA On Rap Murders: “Hip-Hop Has Become One Sided”

In a recent interview, Wu-Tang Clan legend RZA shared his thoughts on the pattern of murders in hip-hop and how it has also impacted the music scene. It’s no secret that the number of killings in hip-hop has trended upward in recent years.

RZA On Murders In The Scene

“Growing up in the golden age of hip-hop, we lost maybe like a couple of artists. Not a dozen artists or more,” RZA said. “Sometimes hip-hop music glamorizes certain things. It glamorizes prison life, it glamorizes gangsters and thugs. I understand that because I grew out of that. But it doesn’t give you the total tragedy of what that can end up being, nor are we with a lot of alternatives. The point being made is there was more bounce, there was more substance. Hip-hop has become one-sided.”

RZA On Rap Murders: "Hip-Hop Has Become One Sided"

The August double murder hit close to RZA and the Wu-Tang family. The former affiliates and members of the group Brooklyn Zu- 12 O’Clock and Murdock died in the shooting. The shooting took place in Northeast Portland around 5:19 a.m. local time.

The Impact Of Murders On The Hip-Hop Scene

Though hip-hop has endured its share of murders over the decades, the frequency of killings has gone up in recent years. In the last year, at least 20 rappers died as thee result of gun violence.

Some of the artists lost were nationally celebrated talents such as Young Dolph, who was slain in his hometown of Memphis last November. Others were simply hometown heroes whose lives cut short before fully realizing their potential.

The number of rappers who have lost their lives to gun violence in the last year is nothing short of deplorable. For the sake of the hip-hop community, there needs to be a better way for these artists to settle disagreements. At the end of the day, each life lost is somebody’s child, parent, or friend.

Donovan Allen, U.K. Drill Rapper, 18, Stabbed To Death Days After His First Performance

A tragic incident occurred earlier this week. Donovan “Dimzordimma” Allen, an 18-year-old U.K. drill rapper who was also just getting started in the music industry, died from a stabbing in North London on Monday, Feb. 7.

Despite the best efforts of paramedics, the drill rapper died on the scene, according to the Metropolitan Police.  According to the post-mortem examination, the killer performed the murder with a single stab wound to the chest. The authorities arrested a 14-year-old boy murder suspect at the crime scene. However, he bailed until early next month.

“We are providing specialist support to Donovan’s family as they go through the most unimaginable of times,” Linda Bradley, the detective chief inspector in charge of the investigation, said. “And we are doing everything we can to identify who may be responsible for his murder.”

A police investigation is underway by the Special Crime Command of the Metropolitan Police in London. Also, throughout this challenging time, officers with specialized training support Allen’s family.

The Evening Standard reports that at approximately 6:10 p.m. on Monday, Donovan Allen was “chilling with friends” on the seventh floor of an Enfield apartment building when the attackers came. Neighbors report that an attacker wielding a machete chased him through the building’s communal space.

Showing Love to Donovan Allen

DJ Bobbi London also paid tribute to Donovan Allen. He worked with Allen over the past year.

“I felt sick when I heard the news last night that you had this done to you, you have been running on my mind all day, man,” said London. “I been playing back voice notes from you about us planning things musically for you and what you wanted to do in the future, I’m so sorry it had to be you @fee_dublin_fits and the family you know I got you and will come running when you need me. REST IN POWER DIMZ”

Donovan Allen was about to embark on a promising career. An Instagram post on Jan. 24 marked the occasion of the 18-year-old’s first public performance.

Drill Music: A Dangerous Genre

No excuse can be offered for the actions of the individual who killed this young man. Drill music, however, can be pretty dangerous in terms of its lyrics, as they tend to contain harsh, aggressive language. Rappers often tend to use their songs as a platform to diss others, which unfortunately ends up being their downfall. As the family of Donovan Allen goes through this uncertain time, FMHipHop sends its deepest condolences. We wish you a time of peace and comfort. R.I.P. Donovan Allen.

Snoop Dogg Denies Allegations of Sexual Assault

Well we expected Snoop Dogg to hit headlines this weekend. After all, he is set to give a killer performance at the Super Bowl this Sunday. Instead, Snoop and one of his associates are facing allegations of sexual assault. The victim is an unidentified woman, who purportedly is seeking 10 million dollars in damages. Sexual assault is a very serious crime; victims should be heard and helped, not blamed. So why then, is Snoop publicly mocking his accuser on Instagram?

Alleged Assault

The alleged assault occurred in 2013, according to the unnamed victim. At the time, Snoop Dogg’s news network, GGN, was just starting to gather steam. According to the victim, on May 29 she had attended one of Snoop’s concerts in Anaheim, California. After the show, one Bishop Don Juan, a self-professed pimp, offered her a ride home. She fell asleep in the car and didn’t realize that Bishop had taken her to his own house. Rather than leave, she decided to spend the night on his couch because she was too tired to complain. Early the next morning, the woman claims that Bishop woke her up and forced her to perform oral sex. He then gave her a dress and offered her an audition to be Snoop Dog’s “weather girl.”

After this, Bishop and the women left and went to Snoop Dogg’s studio. Once there, the woman reports she became physically ill and entered the bathroom. While there, Snoop Dogg allegedly corner her and forced her to perform oral sex while she was defecating on the toilet. When it was all over, Snoop refused to hire her because she, “refused to willingly and enthusiastically give oral sex.”

Snoop Dogg’s Reaction

While some men might balk under the weight of such a serious claim, Snoop Dogg is utterly unmoved. In fact, Snoop, who just celebrated his 30-year anniversary with his high school sweetheart, is making light of the whole incident. He maintains that the entire story is fabricated and dismisses the woman as an opportunist. In a post on his Instagram, he gave warning about “gold digger season,”

Fans of the rapper seem to be leaning on his side. They believe it is peculiar for the victim not just to wait so long before suing, but to do so just before Snoop’s Super Bowl performance, and just after his acquisition of Death Row Records.

Today many woke to the sad news of the passing of another promising hip hop artist, Chii Wvttz.

Who is Chii Wvttz?

Chii Wvttz was a young rapper out of New York with hopes of taking his talent national. Although only 18, he planted his feet firmly in the hip hop soil. He also made tracks. Wytzz didn’t come to play. In hip-hop, the grind is what precedes the shine. He was making a name for himself. Finally, the masses began turning in his direction. What a sad commentary.

What Happened to Chii Wvttz?

Sadly, Chii Wvttz’s cause of death places him as another statistic of a horrifying reality. Reports indicate young Chii Wvttz, like Young Dolph and many others, succumbed to gun violence. This is an unforgivable tragedy. As a culture, we have been here so many times it almost seems numbing.

A close friend of Chii Wvttz broke the news on social media.

“[I] really lost my best friend i never thought i’d be writing RIP next to ya name no time soon shìt really crazy i love you always and forever my heart.”

A Hope For The Future
