Kid Cudi Hints That His Next Album May Be HIs Last

Today, September 30, Kid Cudi released his new highly anticipated album Entergalactic & a Netflix series of the same now that goes along with it. In an interview with Zane Lowe, Cudi might’ve hinted that Entergalactic may be his last album (or at least his last traditional album release). “I think, I want to be done with it. I think, closing the chapter on Kid Cudi,” is what he told the Apple Music show host.

While it does make sense at this point of his career, many were shocked to hear Cudi speak about his career in this way. Furthermore, he added, “I’ve said a lot and I have other desires, I have other things I want to do.”

What Post-Rap Career Life May Look Like:

Cudi still has tons of ideas & ventures outside of Hip-Hop that he’d like to explore nowadays. While he does say he probably won’t completely stop making music, we’ll likely see some more television/movie work coming soon.

Using this new album as a key component of his new Netflix animated series is genius & a nice way to make the transition. “I want to just write more TV shows, write more movies, produce more,” Cudi expressed to Zane Lowe.

In addition to this, Kid Cudi also plans to focus more on his fashion line & spending more time with his daughter. Hearing him share all these ideas makes the reality of his Hip-Hop retirement feel more real.

Have You Heard Kid Cudi’s Potential Last Album?

His new album Entergalactic showcases tons of versatility & balance in numerous areas. Off my first listen/impression, it seems like a lot of the songwriting focuses on themes of love. The 15-song track list includes contributions from 2 Chainz, Ty Dolla $ign, Don Toliver & other talented names. If this is truly the last Kid Cudi album, would you say it lived up to his other works? Hopefully, Kid Cudi’s career as a recording artist isn’t completely done yet.

Kid Cudi & Kanye West Go Platinum With ‘Moon’ Despite Recent Beef

Kanye & Kid Cudi‘s song “Moon”, one of the standouts from Kanye West’s last official studio album Donda, could be one of the last collaborations between the two. Fortunately, the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) announced yesterday (July 11th) that the song has now reached platinum certification status. Neither Ye nor Cudi are new to creating platinum records, so this probably means the most to the young Don Toliver who is also on Moon. While the two still have no plans of ever making music again according to Cudi, this should be a sign for them to mend their bond.

The Broken Bond Between Kanye & Cudi

Back in April, Kid Cudi made the status of his partnership with Kanye very clear to fans. The two Hip-Hop legends appeared together on the same song titled “Rock N Roll” from Pusha T’s latest album. Before that song was released, Cudi went on Twitter to say, “I am not cool w that man. He’s not my friend and I only cleared the song for Pusha cuz thats my guy.” Furthermore, he explained that the song was recorded a year ago while the friendship was still solid. He ended off with this statement, “This is the last song u will hear me on w Kanye.” Take a look at the full tweet below:

Kid Cudi’s Latest Music Ventures

This past Friday, July 8th, Cudi released The Boy Who Flew to the Moon which features his best work over the years. Additionally, fans will be treated to the re-release of his classic debut mixtape A Kid Named Cudi on July 15th. The revival of his career is truly marvelous to watch take shape. Recently, he was even featured on the song “Talk About Me” with rappers JID & Denzel Curry. Are you excited & satisfied with the musical output we’re getting from the Ohio legend? Travis Scott Announces Astroworld Festival Line-Up

Travis Scott just unveiled an iconic roster of performers for his Astroworld festival. The festival is slated to begin Nov. 5th and 6th and will be hosted in Houston, TX. Astroworld is back for its third year this fall, having missed 2020 due to the pandemic.

Unfortunately, every installment of ticket sales has sold out! However, some fortunate fans may get a chance to attend the sold-out show. Travis shared via Instagram that he may have finessed some extra tickets. “PS Show is sold out but I finessed a bit more for yall let ragggggeeeeeeeeerss f****** commence.”

“November come won’t you pop out at the fest. 3rd annual Astroworld fest line is now here,” Scott wrote on Instagram. “Welcome to utopia we morphed the grounds into a new universe this year can’t wait for y’all to seeee it. And I’m bringing some avengers wit me.”

With the theme “Open your eyes to a whole new universe,” Travis enlisted artists from several eras of music. The “Sicko Mode” rapper will headline the festival and showcase a broad spectrum of artists. Highlights include Tame Impala, Bad Bunny, SZA, 21 Savage, Baby Keem, and Earth, Wind & Fire.

With this in mind, the two-day festival’s theme will align with his forthcoming album Utopia. With attention to features like Master P, Young Thug and other artists from Young Stoner Life, Roddy Ricch, Lil Baby, Don Toliver, Sheck Wes, Yves Tumor, and Toro y Moi, there’s something for everyone at the fest.

The present-day festival stems from Travis’ studio album Astroworld. The album, which was in turn named after Six Flags’ AstroWorld amusement park, was released to mass excitement in 2017. Introduced in 1966, the park became a sought-after attraction for Texans. All in all, the park was indeed a historical moment for the city. Unfortunately, it was shut down in 2005.

Ultimately, Travis introduced the festival to “bring back the beloved spirit and nostalgia of AstroWorld, making a childhood dream of Travis’ come true.“

Travis’ fans truly get the best experience possible with his show-stopping line-ups. He is keeping the integrity of the occasion by continuing to host in Houston.

The festival has been making waves since 2018. But with the cancellation of the 2020 festival, this year’s lineup proves Scott is back in full swing.

#FMSpotlight: Don Toliver (feat. Travis Scott) – “Flocky Flocky” (Watch)

Rappers Don Toliver and Travis Scott released a hot new visual earlier today. This video is for the song ‘Flocky Flocky,’ from Don’s second studio album. The video was shot in New Orleans, Louisiana, and features luxurious props such as money, jewelry, and two new Lamborghinis of Don Toliver and Travis Scott. The location of the video is also where native Lil Wayne is from, which features clips of his old neighborhood and his mural.

Superstar

Don is coming to the light of superstardom with his current project. He has been known as a good feature artist and was compared to the likes of Singer Ty Dolla Sign. Nonetheless, he has proven to be a true artist who can be better than someone else’s shadow. Under Travis Scott’s label, he has been viewed as just another artist under a big name. No more will that be the case as he tours and continues to expand his fans with his catalog of music and stylish swagger. He is definitely the next prominent and upcoming artist to grace the music world.

Don’s New Album

Don’s album ‘Life of a DON‘ features many artists such as Baby Keem, Kali Uchis, and HVN. It is also projected to sell more than 60,000 album units in its first week. He has a lot of success to look forward to in the release of this project. In his first album, ‘Heaven or Hell, he debuted number seven on the US Billboard 200 chart with 44,000 album units and 3,000 album sales in its first week. It is now Gold. Will ‘Life of a Don’ also have the same success or be even more remarkable. The music world and fans will surely see his album’s single graces the hot 100 Billboard chart in the next couple of weeks.

Baby Keem Announces New, “Very Personal” Music Coming Soon

Baby Keem is back. Riding the high of his recently released debut album, The Melodic Blue, the rapper performed a fiery rendition of “family ties” on the BET Hip Hop Awards stage on Monday. Now, it seems Keem might have even more new, “very personal” music on the way.

In a BET Red Carpet interview with Complex News, Keem first discussed his excitement over The Melodic Blue’s long-time coming release. “It’s been a long process working on this for 2, 2-3 years now even,” Keem said. “It feels like I just had a baby damn near.”

Keem Gets Personal

But even in his new-baby bliss, Keem said he’s ready to get back in the studio soon. “Right now I’m on a little mental break,” he said in another interview with Seleah Simone. “But we going back in, we going to work on some new sh*t very soon.”

Keem hinted that future music will dive further into his “personal, humble beginnings.” When asked which tracks off The Melodic Blue are most special to him, Keem shouted out two of the rawest, most emotional tracks, “issues” and “scars.”

“That’s kind of where I want to go in my career, really share myself to the world,” he told Complex. “I got a little personal on those two songs about my mother and other things like that. It’s just progressing and telling my story a little bit more than I have been.”

Star on the Rise

Though Keem didn’t mention who the “we” in the studio might be, he has already racked up his fair share of big-name collaborators. The Melodic Blue had features from Travis Scott on “durag activity”, Don Toliver on “cocoa” and, perhaps Keem’s closest collaborator and cousin,  Kendrick Lamar, featured on two tracks, “family ties,” and “range brothers.” The pair released a wild, experimental video for the track, “family ties,” in August, featuring an appearance from Normani. The video now has over 21 million views on Youtube. Though Keem and Kendrick’s music differs in style, they share those “humble beginnings” Keem speaks of and use their musical gifts to tell that story.

Whatever comes next, the 20-year-old Baby Keem shows no signs of slowing down. What would you like to see off of his next project? Let us know by interacting with us on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook
