Dwayne Wade Speaks On Mike Tyson Calling Out Boosie Badazz

Not long after Mike Tyson’s viral confrontation with Boosie Badazz over his transphobic remarks regarding Dwayne Wade’s daughter, Wade has publicly commented on the matter. On a recent episode of Hotboxin’ With Mike Tyson, Boosie was pressed by Tyson on comments he made earlier this year about Zaya Wade, ultimately stating he should “shut up” these sorts of issues.

In a new interview with Central Ave, Dwayne Wade thanked Iron Mike for speaking up, stating:

“I actually talked to Mike bout that earlier in the pandemic. We had a conversation and I appreciated it from a standpoint of Mike is someone who has never tried to be perfect. He is someone who has learned from this journey of life. He’s so smart. He’s so educated and knowledgeable about life and for him to be able to drop that nugget on the world, to me it was great to hear him say that.”

Mike Tyson Confronts Boosie Badazz Over Transphobic Remarks

In a new episode of Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson, Mike Tyson confronted rapper Boosie Badazz over his controversial, transphobic remarks regarding Dwayne Wade’s daughter. Iron Mike pressed Boosie as to why he publicly critcized Wade for supporting his daughter coming out as part of the LGBTQ+ community.

At roughly ten minutes into the interview, Tyson exclaimed, “Why do you say things about people who might be a homosexual? Why do you say that about them? Do you feel there’s a possibility that you’re a homosexual and by disrespecting them it furthers yourself from being a homosexual? I’m thinking you may like homosexuals.” While Boosie essentially doubled down on his position, he acknowledged that he needs to “shut the f-ck up” sometimes, with Tyson stating, “Who the f-ck am I to say anything? What I think don’t mean a motherf-cking thing.”

Earlier this year, Dwayne Wade revealed that his 12 year-old daughter, Zaya, came out as transgender. While the Wade family was widely praised for raising awareness about LGBTQ+ issues, they faced some backlash from people including Boosie Badazz and Young Thug.
