Mac Miller’s “Faces” Shocks Fans With Surprise Collaboration

Mac Miller fans are going crazy over the re-release of late rapper’s 2014 mixtape, Faces. The re-released album features two brand new songs; including a bonus track titled “Yeah.” Fans are thrilled to experience an unexpected collaboration with Young Thug his newly released sophomore album, Punk. Markedly, today is an exciting day in hip hop.

Some say that the re-release of Faces may be a “legendary move” by the Mac Miller’s estate.

Originally, Mac Miller put out the free album on Mother’s Day of 2014, receiving immense positive reception. Vulture critic, Craig Jenkins, stated the album is “the best work of his career.”

The re-release includes guest appearances from Vince Staples (“Rain”), Earl Sweatshirt (“Polo Jeans”), Schoolboy Q (“Friends”), and Rick Ross (“Insomniak”).

Fans are absolutely raving on Twitter remembering the late rapper. For instance,  @smuckersbytyler tweeted:

“Faces being on streaming services is actually legendary asf, one of the best mixtapes of the last decade. Mac Miller was different all over that shit.” In the comments, another fan by the username.

Complex  reported the project, consisting of 25-tracks, can only be purchased on vinyl via this link. Mac Miller produced most of the album himself, using his alias, Larry Fisherman.

Remembering Mac Miller

At 26, Miller shocked the world with his passing. His struggle with addiction overcame him on Sept., 12, 2018 .

Straightaway, his rambunctious rap-style was charming yet unreserved. He shattered the expectations of traditional hip-hop.  Beneath the surface, his heart and humble nature pierced through his music and built a lasting relationship within his fan base.

Particularly his complex nature adjacent to his music brought fans a piece of what being yourself looked like. With attention to his relaxed fashion he was sure to project what was important to him. For this reason, Mac Miller remains hip hops “good boy.”

Mac Miller’s Legendary “Faces” Mixtape Is Now Available on All Streaming Services

Late and great rapper, Mac Miller, is now being honored and released from his shackles of availability to the music word. His 2014 album “Faces” just dropped on all music platforms today. His estate made a public announcement about this earlier. This album is one of the best pieces of work by Miller admired by his fans around the world. The rapper past three years ago this month after an overdose. Nonetheless, he still manages to make an impact on the music world till this day.

Aside from the music icon’s 25 track mixtape, Miller has released 6 studio albums, two EPs, 13 mixtapes, and over 60 music videos. He has a lengthy catalogue of music that contains a lot of issues. Money, women, poverty, depression, drugs, and peace are the most common topics he has mentioned. He has also collaborated with a lot of artists within multiple genres such as Rap, Hip-Hop, R&B, Pop, and Emo. Also, his estate released a visual of one of his mixtape’s songs that shows how diverse his style was with the genres he immersed his music in. The song is titled “Colors and Shapes”. This track gave fans including the director of the video a sense of being in another world. Director Mason went on record to say “The track very visual to me-like it had its own world.”

Mac Miller Forever 

Mac Miller is rumored to have music that still has yet to be heard. However, his estate will most likely make another influential decision to share some with the world later. His mixtape has the world waiting for more work like it and it’s no wonder that he has an enormous fan base. He puts people in his shoes and takes them on an adventure. His work is timeless. It will never be forgotten and truly be admired for a long time.

Mac Miller’s Drug Dealers’ Trial Date Set

Two years later, Mac Miller’s death is starting to see justice

In one of Hip-Hop’s most tragic losses, Mac Miller passed away from an overdose on September 7, 2018.  One year after his passing, his plugs were apprehended and remain without bail.

Stephen Walter, Cameron Pettit, and Ryan Reavis will appear in court in November this year.  The three men are charged with the sale of cocaine, Xanax, and oxycodone, the latter of which was laced with fentanyl. Fentanyl is the leading cause of overdose deaths in the country; unfortunately, Mac is another statistic.  Though Mac had taken the cocaine and drank alcohol immediately leading up to his passing, the fentanyl is chiefly responsible.

Ryan Reavis had attempted to receive a separate trial from Walter and Pettit, claiming he was only a one-time runner for them.  He was denied this opportunity.  Additionally, Reavis is facing charges for, possession of prescription drugs, marijuana, paraphernalia, manufacturing of prohibited weaponry, and fraudulent schemes and artifices.

Though Mac’s struggles with drugs were apparent throughout his career, it will always be a tragedy.  When making ‘Faces‘ in 2014, he was seemingly on the verge of multiple overdoses.  However, in the subsequent four years, Mac showed major signs of improvement.  By the time he made ‘Swimming,’ he was thinking clearer than he had for the entirety of his career.  Unfortunately, he passed away about one month after the release of the Grammy-nominated album.

Though gone, we thank Mac for leaving us an endless amount of music. With such a vast catalog, we will always have enough music to remind us what a blessing his life still is.  As he continues to rest in peace, we hope that those responsible for his way too early passing receive due justice.
