Feds using pictures on Instagram to indict Pooh Shiesty

The indictment of Pooh Shiesty based on evidence from Instagram posts

Pooh Shiesty got indicted by the feds. The rapper is currently in federal custody. His court date in Miami-Dade state court is on July 1st. Shiesty had allegedly participated in the shooting and robbery at the Landon Hotel back in October 2020. According to a report, the rapper and two other men (Bobby Brown and Jayden Darosa) set a meeting to buy marijuana and shoes, eventually turning into a shootout. At some point, the rapper was also freed on bail but later retaken in custody. The reason was a non-related charge of shooting a guard.

What gave federal agents evidence to indict are Darosa’s Instagram posts. According to Billboard, they show photos of him holding a Draco used by Pooh Shiesty in the shooting. Another evidence in the investigation was a post of Shiesty a couple of days before the shooting, which captured “several long rifles and plethora of $100.00 bills.” One of the pictures had a Louis Vuitton bag stuffed with around $40,000 in cash and the rented McLaren that fled the shootout scene.

Shiesty’s lawyer Saam Zangeneh told Herald they “have been in communication with the U.S. Attorney’s Office” and “believe they…are likely to file federal charges.” They also pointed out that the current situation “doesn’t change our position as to his 100 percent innocence.”

R. Kelly’s Lawyers Want To Back Out Of His Federal Case

Lawyers Have Parted Ways with  R. Kelly

R Kelly’s top two lawyers are gone! They officially want off of his case now that Kelly’s federal case is on the horizon. According to TMZ, Steven Greenberg and Michael Leonard, Kelly’s attorneys for years, filed documentation on Monday requesting that they withdraw from the case. Both of the lawyers wanting to leave are due to disagreements among R. Kelly’s legal team members.

The Reason, The Lawyers, Departed The Team

Greenberg and Leonard released a statement on why they have left. ” We refused to try a case with lawyers who don’t have the appropriate level of experience and skill because that is not in the client’s best interest. It is a shame that lawyers can’t suppress their egos or self-interest and do or act in the client’s best interest.”

According to the letter Greenberg wrote to the judge stated another reason. It stated, “Our reasons for withdrawal are significant, and it is impossible, in our belief, for us to be able to continue to represent Mr. Kelly under the current circumstances properly.”

What Is This Case About?

In the end, it was a significant power struggle for the team. R. Kelly’s federal court case consists of racketeering charges,  child exploitation of a child, kidnapping, forced labor, and bribery.

Both former lawyers believed that Farinella and Becker have no experience in federal court.  According to TMZ, they released the statement, ” Greenberg and Leonard both believed that the two members of the legal team they had issues with had no experience in federal court.”
