Kyle the Hooligan Plans to Sue Company Behind FN Meka

Record label Factory New may have a massive lawsuit after a failed and highly controversial project called FN Meka.

Last week, FN Meka, the first artificial intelligence rapper, made shockwaves on social media. Unfortunately for Capitol Records and Factory New, the reactions were a mix of confusion and unhappiness. The virtual artist came off as a cheap gimmick for rap music listeners. Specifically, the usage of the n-word in a historically black genre like rap and a seemingly nonblack AI made many uncomfortable.

All the backlash subsequently caused Capital Records to drop FN Meka. One would think that’s the end of this story, but this saga isn’t quite complete yet.

The rapper behind FN Meka has revealed himself as Kyle The Hooligan. And according to him, there was theft involved in the creation of the AI rapper. Kyle spoke with TMZ Hip Hop this week and told the media outlet he’s seeking financial compensation from designer Brandon Le and Factory New.

Kyle The Hooligan Speaks Out

“Took the culture, took the swag, took my whole sauce. And I never heard from them since,” the upcoming artist said in an illuminating Instagram post. In the video, the Houston artist details how he wrote and performed Meka’s first three singles, “Internet,” “Moonwalkin’,” and “Speed Demon.” He allegedly never recorded payment or acknowledgment from Factory New. In addition, Kyle says he gave Factory New the ideas to form FN Meka’s aesthetic and regrets being unable to provide input. He believes that could’ve stopped dicey imagery like the image of Meka being beaten by a police officer.

In a written statement released by Factory New backer Anthony Martini, he took accountability for not doing the proper vetting and revealed he’s parted ways with the company. “I joined the team in early 2020 and was named co-founder with my specific focus being business development and artist management,” he explained. “I take responsibility for diving into a project without comprehensively examining its history.”

According to Kyle The Hooligan’s legal rep Andrew Occult, Factory New still hasn’t responded to the lawsuit. “Despite multiple requests, we have not received a response from or been put in contact with Factory New’s or Brandon Le’s legal representatives, nor have we received any formal offer for compensation. We continue evaluating our options and are hopeful for a swift and just resolution to this matter,” he told TMZ.

Although FN Meka was short-lived, his strange existence still shakes things up for Factory New and Capitol Records.

Voice Behind AI Rapper FN Meka, Kyle The Hooligan, Is Glad His Contract Was Terminated

The relationship between virtual rapper FN Meka and Capitol Records appears to be short. On Tuesday, August 23, Capitol Records announced they had parted ways with artificial intelligence rapper FN Meka. Activists and members of the general public consider the robot to be a stereotypical image of Black culture. Kyle The Hooligan, the rapper and the voice behind the AI-based rapper, responded on Instagram to Capitol’s decision to terminate the FN Meka deal.

What Was The Treatment Of Kyle The Hooligan?

Co-founders Anthony Martini and Brandon Le of the VR company Factory New ghosted Hooligan after getting all the tools to create the character, including the ability to use the N-word.

Consider yourself a member of a team that is responsible for the creation of a project. Then, those who are there to help you suddenly took all the credit for your accomplishments and ghosted you. Those actions will leave a person feeling confused and disappointed.

Additionally, Kyle asserts that Anthony and Brandon offered him equity and percentages to persuade him. However, they never followed up with him after the proposal. Prior to collecting damages, the “No Turning Back” rapper admitted to waiting for FN Meka’s success. Following the announcement that FN Meka exited his record deal due to public criticism, Kyle revealed that he never received compensation for his work.

“Next thing I know, n*ggas just ghosted me,” Hooligan said. “Like, used my voice, used my sound, used the culture, and literally just left me high and dry. I ain’t get a dime off of nothing.”

Producer Hitmaka Shares His Opinions

According to TMZ, Hitmaka, aka Yung Berg, spoke with TMZ on Wednesday regarding Capitol Records’ support for the defamatory robot rapper.

“It’s some of the most disrespectful stuff I’ve seen in a long time,” Hitmaka said. “To know that nobody from the culture was involved with the creation of this just shows how much of a capitalist mindstate Capitol Records was in.”

FN Meka: What Led To Its Creation?

Furthermore, as per Hooligan, robot creators Anthony and Brandon approached him to ask if he would like to be the voice of FN Meka. The initial thought that crossed his mind was that it was an opportunity for collaboration. After that, they promised Kyle shares in the company and a percentage of the profits. Therefore, those offers immediately piqued his interest and convinced him that this opportunity would be beneficial. As a result, he would be able to make music as well as gain experience in the technology field.

Karma Is Real To Kyle

Although he continued to express his displeasure at the unjust treatment he received, Hooligan also said that the robot creators had faced cancellation.

“They got record deals and all this stuff. I wasn’t involved in no meetings or none of that, which is f*cked up,” FN Meka creator said. “So honestly, I’m glad they a** got canceled. That’s karma for they a**.”

The concept of karma is accurate, and no one is exempt from it. In other words, be careful what you dispense in this world.

Artificial Rapper FN Meka Dropped From Capital Records And Blames “Racist Reporters”

On August 19th, FN Meka became the world’s first artificial rapper to sign with a major record label. The virtual artist released singles such as “Moonwalking,” “Speed Demon” and “Internet,” which hit off on TikTok. The rapper has accumulated billions of views and has reached over 10 million followers becoming TikTok’s Number 1 virtual being on the platform. Since the rapper’s signing, both the rapper and the record label have been facing backlash, leading Capital Music Group to cut ties with the virtual artist.

According to HipHop DX, the artificial rapper, FN Meka, has spoken out after being dropped by Capitol Records. FN Meka is now blaming his dropping on “racist reporters.” The source also reports that Capital Records has been receiving an abundance of negative reactions, particularly from the black community.

Capital Records issues a statement regarding cutting ties with FN Meka!

The label stated, that Capital Music group has part ways with the FN Meka project. The label offers their deepest condolences to the Black community for their insensitivity, signing Meka without asking enough questions about the equity and the creative process behind it. “We thank those who have reached out to us with constructive feedback in the past couple of days — your input was invaluable as we came to the decision to end our association with the project.”

FN Meka calls out racist reporters for clickbait!

As of yesterday, August 23rd, FN Meka has responded to the news of Capital Music deciding to cut ties. YouTuber Jarvis Johnson reached out on Instagram to show his support for the virtual artist. He said, “Hey fam. i just heard the news. you’ll bounce back from this stronger than ever.” In what Johnson describes as the worst response, Meka say’s, “Ty Jarvis!!! Honestly ,its algorithems controlling people.” He adds that FN Meka was created by a black lady and a asian guy with a black voice. Racist reporters just want to report clickbait. Meka say’s they’ve told reporters this many times and they ignore it just to make headlines.

Johnson continued to question the real humans behind the artificial artist. He asked if it’s an asian dude that sounds black or if it’s a voice actor. FN Meka said “Lady came up w/ idea, asian modeled it to give a rapper a voice. Its a simple business cooperation lmao.” He adds that the rapper is black as you can tell by his voice. Meka also say’s people just want clout and to report false narratives. He then sent a follow-up to Johnson clarifying the voice is a black man and not an asian person putting on a Blaccent. “Btw just to clarify. The voice is a black guy.”

While FN Meka is confident he will make his way back to the top, many people, activists, and other rappers have expressed their anger with Capital Records regarding the deal. The Game even said, “Like it ain’t a million real human artists out here who giving a deal to would change their families’ lives FOH.”

Artificial Intelligence And Hip Hop Come Together As Virtual Rapper FN Meka Signs With Major Label

Artificial intelligence and hip hop have come together to produce a new artist. Virtual rapper FN Meka has signed with a major label and we can be sure to expect some major things soon.

How Artificial Intelligence And Hip Hop Created FN Meka

According to recent articles that came out on August 17 the AI-powered rapper signed a deal with Capitol Records. The first single from the artist was also dropped. “Florida Water” features rapper Gunna and gamer Clix. The “robo rapper” was created by Anthony Martini and Brandon Le of Factory New. And the duo were the first to “sign” the rapper. According to the creators the rapper’s voice is in fact a real human. But everything else is designed through artificial intelligence technology. This includes his lyrics, chords, and the tempo of his music.

The AI-powered rapper’s fanbase has multiplied quickly. Gaining over 10 million followers on TikTok and over a billion views on video-sharing platforms in just one year. One of the draws of FN Meka’s TikTok account is the fact he invites fans into his virtual world. Which includes jumbo Bugatti jets, Maybach helicopters, and machines that turn simple ice into diamond watches.

The AI technology seems to be working because on his recently release single Meka’s flow and lines are smooth. The song includes lines like “Oh just put on my tab/I don’t see the prices, throw it in my bag.” And “Clean water VVS diamonds bust down/Make it splash.”

As for the Capitol Records execs, they see artificial technology and hip hop coming together as the logical next step. Since tech plays such a major role in so many other industries. Ryan Ruden, Capitol Music Group’s Executive VP of Experiential Marketing & Biz Development says the partnership with FN Meka is the future of music. And that it is just a “preview” of what the future holds.

It will be interesting to see how FN Meka’s concerts happen!
