G Herbo Allegedly Turned Without Signaling, Ended Up Arrested For Gun Possession

Transporting or carrying something illegal in one’s car requires full attention to the driving rules; ask G Herbo, who went under arrest for gun possession after simply failing to signal on the road that he was turning. 

The incident occurred on Jul. 9 in Chicago. The “Chi-Raq” author had been driving down East Ontario Street before he got pulled over by the police for failing to use the turn signal. For some reason, the officers searched the artist’s car and found a Glock 33 in G Herbo’s vehicle. 

The police took the artist under arrest. G Herbo then spent a night in jail for gun possession until approximately 5 a.m. on Jul. 10 and left after paying a bond.

G Herbo got charged with “carrying or possessing on or about his person, upon any public street, alley, or other public lands within the corporate limits of a city.”

More details regarding the case should soon appear.

Semiautomatic Firearm Assault Court Case

Another Hip-Hop artist currently facing troubles for gun-related occurrences is A$AP Rocky. The artist recently faced two charges of felony assault with a semiautomatic firearm. If proven guilty, A$AP Rocky will face up to 4 years per charge.

However, Rocky’s lawyer, Joe Tacopina, doesn’t seem to have too many concerns about the case’s outcome. “What will become abundantly clear in the upcoming months, based on facts and evidence,” Tacopina said. “Is that Rocky is innocent of these charges.” Rocky also seems to be sure of his innocence, as he pleaded so in court and now will go to the trial.

YSL Rico Case

Artists and the whole labels find themselves in ties with the law these days. Young Thug, together with 28 other members of YSL, have spent the last year fighting their RICO case. The evidence against the artists includes Young Thug’s lyrics from songs like “Anybody,” “Take it to Trial,” “Ski,” and “Slatty.”

Young Thug recently also contacted T.I. and Boosie BadAzz from prison, asking the two to drop a record together. “Yo, [Boosie BadAzz] and [T.I.],” the YSL head posted on Instagram stories. “Ya’ll go ahead and drop that album together. That’s all a n**** wants.”

Juice WRLD Day Festival Set for Thursday

The Juice WRLD Day Festival Is Back Again

The Juice WRLD Day Festival is on again this year! Thursday, Dec 8, makes it three years since the Chicago rapper has passed. Yes, Dec 8 is now officially the Juice WRLD Day! There will be a list of performers to honor the late rapper. G Herbo, Trippie Redd, and Cordae are just a few of the stars coming to the festival. 

The Juice WRLD Day Festival will occur at the United Center in Chicago. It’s an annual event, with Thursday being its second year.

The Juice WRLD Day will have plenty of things for fans to enjoy. Besides the performances, fans will have access to new merchandise, unreleased content, and interactive products. Juice WRLD was known for his “999 Club,” and fans will be happy to see the limited-edition releases at the festival. 

There will also be Juice WRLD games and art displays. Juice WRLD loved dirt bikes, and his collection will also be at the festival. The festival also plans to give back to the communities that supported the late rapper, as it will offer resources to help with mental health and substance abuse.

R.I.P. Juice

Friends, family, and fans celebrated the late rapper’s birthday on Dec 2. Juice WRLD would have then turned 24. Many people, including fellow artists, took to social media to pay homage and show their respects to him. Although the festival is a tremendous honor, Carmela Wallace, Juice WRLD’s mother, plans to do more for him. She intends to open a brewery and restaurant in Homewood, a suburb of Chicago, in her son’s remembrance.

The first Juice WRLD Day was held in December last year at the United Center. Thousands of people showed love and appreciation for the “Lucid Dreams” rapper, making it a sold-out event. 24KGoldn, Lil Baby, Ski Mask, and Trippie Redd hit the stage last year to perform. This year there will be more artists and some surprises!

Waka Flocka Flame Vs Joyner Lucas: Game 1

The Crew League is back again for season four. REVOLT will present the games once again. Justin Combs, 21 Savage, Quavo, Sean Combs are just a few of the executive producers. Waka Flocka Flame versus Joyner Lucas played in game one.

Season four will be held in Atlanta, Georgia. Overtime Elite Arena woll host the event. The theme for this season is Atlanta versus everybody making the OTE Arena a great location.

Rappers will be competing for a grand prize of $250,000 to donate to the charity of their choosing and the TCL trophy. Eight teams will battle it out until only one team remains as the champion.

The first game put Waka Flocka Flame’s “Brick Squad Monopoly” against Joyner Lucas’ “Tully All-Stars”.

The Rules

Each team will play 4 on 4 to a score of 21. Players can only score by 1’s and 2’s and teams must win by 2. Each team is only given 7 fouls per half. After the 7 fouls, free throws will be shot but only the team captains can shoot free throws. Everyone will play on a shortened court.

Before the game started, the trash talking was already in the air. Waka Flocka was one of the first to start talking about the other team.

Joyner Lucas laughed at the comment made by Waka. Joyner was not impressed with his opponent Waka Flocka Flame and this only added to his lack of concern.

Game 1, First Half

Tully All-Stars won the tip-off and eventually Joyner Lucas got the ball. Waka Flocka took the assignment to guard him. Joyner hit Waka with a pump fake, which made Waka jump. Joy Lucas quickly headed for the goal and got an easy layup.

The next nine points was much more difficult to score for both teams. Both teams were at ten points, trying to send the game into halftime. The game only goes to halftime when one team gets to 11 points. Brick Squad sent the game into halftime by hitting a three, which is only worth two points. At halftime, Brick Squad led 12 to 10.

During the first half, G Herbo was watching the game but he was not just watching the game in regular fashion. Harbor was getting his haircut in the Brick Squad Barbershop. Instantly, the time Allen Iverson was getting his hair braided during a game comes to mind.

Waka Flocka had no points at the half but Joyner Lucas scored four points. The on-court host pulled the team captains to the middle of the court to discuss the first half and exceptions for the second.

Game 1, Second Half

Brick Squad went on a 5-1 run during the second half. The game quickly became 17 to 11 with Tully All-Stars down by five points. Joyner Lucas called a time-out to try and stop the run.

The time-out helped Tully. Somehow, Tully worked their way back into the game and tied it up 18-18. With the game so close, anybody could take the W.

Waka Flocka scored his first point but Joyner Lucas’ team returned the favor by taking the lead. Tully All-Stars had a 20 to 19 lead over their opps, all they had to do was score one point for the win. Tully missed the game winning bucket allowing Brick Squad to tie the game up, 20-20.

The ending of the game was crazy. Tully tried to inbound the ball but Phil Taylor steals the ball and passes it to Justin Tuoyo, who hits the game-winner. Brick Squad wins the game 22-20.

The next game will be between NLE Choppa and Baby Face Ray.

G Herbo Preps Fans For New Double-Sided Album ‘Survivor’s Remorse’

G Herbo announced on Instagram yesterday, September 12th, that his new album Survivor’s Remorse will be dropping very soon. The Chicago artist released his last full-length album in 2021 titled 25 which received massive praise from fans & critics. Both this new album title & his 2020 album PTSD showcase Herbo’s effort to touch on his trauma & mental health. 2022 has been a year full of major releases, but now is the perfect time for the Swervo rapper to step into the mix.

 

What We Know About G Herbo’s New Album

Last Friday, September 9, he released a new single with A Boogie Wit da Hoodie called “Me, Myself & I“. With the album being officially announced, this single will likely end up being on the final track list for Survivor’s Remorse. Most importantly, the album is split into “Side A” & “Side B” which means we could be getting a large number of songs from him. It’ll be very interesting to see if maybe the double sides make sense conceptually in a similar way as Kendrick Lamar‘s last release. Last, Herbo’s initial Instagram post revealed the project’s cover. The main focus in the image is G Herbo in all-black attire sitting in an all-red studio with his posse faded out.

Album Title Relevant To The Times

There are probably tons of rappers & people in general that can relate to the heavy album title. Survivor’s Remorse is another way to describe survivor’s guilt. This is a topic & point of view G Herbo draws from heavily in his music. Many of his friends have passed away, but also many of his peers. Just yesterday as well, unfortunately, we learned about PNB Rock dying in LA after his location was accidentally shared. Situations like this are truly tragic and serve as a warning for all professionals in the field. With that aside, how deep on this topic do you think G Herbo will delve into the new album?

The Game Is Not A ‘Top 50 Rapper’; Will The New Album Will Change That?

The Game has concerns with some ‘Top 50’ statistics going around the internet. Notably, the artist implores Funk Flex and also Ebro Darden to reconsider not putting him on the “Top 50 MCs” lists.

The ‘Top 50’ post with three pictures appeared on The Game’s Instagram. The caption under various lists of the best Hip-Hop artists goes,

“@oldmanebro@funkflex & @troubleman31…… I ain’t forgot about these lists… #DRILLMATIC coming soon…. HURRICANE GAME LIVES y’all shoulda just threw my baby mamas in there too !!!!”

The Game’s album “Drillmatic” is coming out soon. According to G Herbo, it’s also “The hardest album 2022,” and a reason to reschedule one’s record release for next year. Looks like The Game has all the chances to take over one of ‘Top 50’ lists.

The Game, Ye, Pusha T, and A$AP Rocky In The Studio

The silent video came out around a week ago. In the recording, The Game, Ye, Pusha T, and A$AP Rocky were all together in the studio, allegedly working on music.

It’s hard to prove or deny the artists’ actions throughout the video since it’s silent. However, it seems as though Rocky and Ye are talking about the music playing in the room. Especially with Rocky imitating piano playing.

The 1-minute clip later appeared on Instagram, thanks to Tracey Mills.

$7 Million Lawsuit

Amidst recording silent videos and criticizing the “Top 50” lists, The Game is also dealing with a lawsuit. The artist owes $7 million to Priscilla Rainey after “forcefully reaching his hand inside her dress to rub her bare vagina and buttocks” in 2016. 

The victim’s motion, also granted by Los Angeles Superior Court, claims that The Game made and hindered profits from Rainey. His account on Cameo brought the artist around 20K between October 29, 2020, and January 28, 2021. Cameo is a website where celebrities can make videos for fans. The money from the account allegedly went into the Game’s company. 

“The Judgment Debtor apparently created a new company account to deposit his income…to hinder or delay Plaintiff’s judgment enforcement efforts,” Rainey’s attorney claimed.

Meek Mill Teases Jay-Z & G Herbo Collabs For ‘Expensive Pain’

Meek Mill is prepping for the debut of his upcoming project, Expensive Pain. He made an announcement last month via Twitter about this album’s arrival during a Q&A session. 

“When is the album dropping?” one person asked. As a response, the Dreamchasers CEO said, “Album done so soon!” Sometime after, he hops back on Twitter to say, “I’m back now!! I’m about to drop!!”

On Wednesday, the Philadelphia-raised megastar went on his Twitter with more updates about Expensive Pain.

“My album Expensive Pain releases 10/1,” Meek Mill tweets. He also shared the project’s artwork. From a birds-eye-view, one can see an illustrated collage of naked ladies, hot whips, and more.

Elsewhere, the esteemed rapper opens up about the artwork’s inspiration. Meek Mill explains, “[It’s] some heavy art s### that I like personally from Nina Chanel 💎.”

Expensive Pain comes right after his 2018 LP Championships. Championships went on to score No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 229,000 album-equivalent units.

Furthermore, his 2018 album became certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America. Not to mention, Championships earned Meek Mill his first Grammy nomination for Best Rap Album. 

During his time on Twitter, a fan asked Meek if Expensive Pain is his best work.

He responded with, “Yeah this my Zaza flow!! Lol.”

He also confirmed that a U.K. rapper is on the album. While the identity of this specific collaborator remains anonymous, he did hint that Jay-Z and G-Herbo will be on his newest project. 

Expensive Pain drops on October 1st, 2021.

G Herbo Reveals Tracklist For ’25’

Following his highly talked about project PTSD, G Herbo intends on keeping the momentum high with his newest LP, 25. The album will carry features from 21 Savage, Gunna, Polo G, Rowdy Rebel, and other musicians. In the promo for 25, the elite rapper gets personal with fans, saying

“I’ve seen death way too many times. I’ve been shot, been to jail. I done been broke. Also, I took everything that came with this street shit. Moreover, all the killing, fear. Subsequently, I was overcoming that fear.” 

Given this context, we can assume that the LP will highlight self-growth and the obstacles he’s hurdled to get to where he’s at today. 

G Herbo goes on to say, “Now that I’m’ 25,’ I feel like I’m at the top of my game,” he continued in between splices of Lamborghini street racing and tour footage. “All the bad shit I’ve been through, that’s why I am the way I am. I always just kept my head high, staying 10 toes down… I know it’s light at the end of the tunnel.”

Polo G Reveals Prominent Features on the ‘Hall Of Fame’ Tracklist

Polo G reveals the tracklist for his upcoming album ‘Hall of Fame’.

After releasing two top-selling albums back-to-back with a few big-name features, Polo G is set to do it again with the release of his third album, Hall Of Fame. He released the tracklist this past Thursday, and it’s got some real heavy hitters on it.

Hall Of Fame will be featuring some of hip-hop’s most prominent names next to Polo. Some notable names are Nicki Minaj, Dababy, and Roddy Ricch. Fellow Chicago Rappers Lil Durk and G Herbo will also be joining him on this project.

Congratulations are in order as G Herbo and Taina Williams are new parents to a healthy baby boy! 

G Herbo and Taina Williams first announced on New Year’s Day that they were expecting their first child together. Early Thursday morning, G Herbo posted on Instagram about the baby news with a black and white photo of his son’s hand, captioned with black and white hearts.

Taina, the daughter of Emily B and rapper Fabolous, shared a message under a video from a pregnancy shoot writing, “Sometimes the greatest things in life are worth hiding for a bigger sacrifice. Happiness is an understatement for the joy that we feel and the light that you’ve already [brought] upon us. God knows I prayed for you ….”

Taina

Earlier in the month, the couple celebrated with a baby shower in Beverly Hills, with mother Emily and stepfather rapper Fabolous in attendance.

The pair first started dating in January 2019 and recently got engaged in December of last year.

G Herbo also has a 3-year-old son, Yosohn Wright, from his past relationship with Ari Fletcher.

G Herbo Pleads Not Guilty in Federal Case

G Herbo pleads not guilty after charges of lying to a federal agent

Rapper G Herbo was in Zoom court on Tuesday to enter his plea on charges of lying to a federal agent. This came after he turned himself in back in December for charges involving an identity fraud scam. The identity fraud charges involved defendant Antonio Strong, who was allegedly a manager for G Herbo. Herbo officially stated that he had no relationship with the defendant. He added that he had never given or received anything of value from Strong.

Earlier this month, prosecutors claimed G Herbo’s statements were false. “Since at least 2016, Wright had received valuable goods from Strong,” Prosecutors told the court. “including private jet charters, luxury accommodations, and exotic car rentals.” The charges of lying to a federal agent came after the original charges involving the identity fraud scam G Herbo was allegedly involved in. The original allegations state that Strong also had involvement in the crimes committed.

G Herbo talks about the charges in his song, “Statement.” In the song, he says “Never been no phony though / Rollies for my brodie, though / Barely know Joe Rodeo.” These bars refer to the case of identity fraud before the charges of lying to the feds. Joe Rodeo, who was referenced in the song, was in affiliation with Antonio Strong and the fraud charges.

It is clear that through it all, G Herbo is maintaining his innocence. He defends his original statements to the court and the federal agents and has no plans to say otherwise.
