Latto Reveals ‘777’ Tracklist Truth & Kodak Black Denies Allegations

Mulatto shared the tracklist for her “777” album Monday(Mar.21), which is set to be released on March 25, The news has raised some eyebrows. According to the 23-year-old rapper, one of the feature artists is withholding clearance. This information came during an interview with LA radio personality Big Boy. Big Latto claims that men in the industry do not know how to conduct business properly. As a result, fans suspect Kodak Black, who features on “Bussdown,” is guilty.

“It’s a feature on my album… it was difficult to clear,” she says. “They tryna drop they nuts on me because I won’t respond to a DM.”

Big Latto Sheds Light On Misogyny

The song will remain on the album despite all challenges. Latto expresses that she genuinely loves the music. However, she wishes more females in the industry would speak out on acts of harassment. Latto denounces the preconceived notion that it’s a part of the rap game to endure disrespect from male counterparts.

“I love the song so much and I had to turn it in yesterday, so I didn’t really have a choice,” Latto says. “backed into a corner like bullied, but I wish more females would speak up and stuff. I know the label and stuff, they say, ‘Don’t do that, [that’s] bad business,’ but man these folks be trying to drop nuts on female rappers like I’m not gonna shut up about it.”

Latto admits she originally had respect for the rapper in question, and she expresses her distaste.

“It meant something to me for sure, like I was definitely rubbed the wrong way,” Latto says.

In shock after hearing the news, the radio host attempts to reveal which rapper is looking to exchange sexual favors or song clearance. Latto does not expose a name. However, she denies speculation that 21 Savage is the perpetrator.

Kodak Black Misogynist Behavior

The “777” album is 13 tracks with features from Lil Wayne, Childish Gambino, 21 Savage, Lili Durk, Kodak Black, and Nardo Wick. Therefore, fans believe that Kodak Black is guilty of the misogyny of all the rappers.

Last month, Kodak Black appeared on “The Breakfast Club,” telling the host it is mandatory to have sex with women whom he collaborates. Particularly the women he signs because he’s giving them career exposure.

“Look, my female artist, this is just how it is, right… ‘Cause I know n***s and shit like that, I gotta bust ’em,” he admitts. “They ain’t gotta be my girlfriend, but it’s like, I’m gonna bust ’em.”

Kodak continues the misogynistic behavior when he talks about New York rapper Dream Doll. He claims that since her song was not up to par, she should have sex with him in exchange.

“Basically, I told her and the other chick, ya’ll gotta let me smash because the music a little trash,” Black states. “You ain’t finnah come over here and get what you want and I don’t get me none.”

Kodak Denies Allegations on Twitter

Despite admitting to sexism in the past, Kodak accuses speculators of reaching since Latto didn’t state a name. So today, Kodak goes to Twitter to deny all claims rejecting clearance on Latto’s “777.”

“That Mulatto Girl IS NOT Talkin Bout Me Homie,” he tweets. “I See Y’all Steady Reachin Lol … Shawty Ain’t Even Say A N***a Name On Dat Shit Ion Know Why Tf Y’all Tryna Make A N***a Wear Dat Jacket I’m Too Fly Fa Dat Shit Homie.”

The “777” album is set to release Friday, March 25. To hear Mullatto talk more about the project, click here.

Latto began teasing the song back in February, but it was unknown which artist would be assisting her. Just days after her song “Big Energy” broke the Hot 100’s top 20, the rapper dropped “Wheelie” which to a surprise featured 21 Savage.

Colin Tilley, director of “Wheelie,” hyped the release of the video via Twitter.

Mulatto Changes Her Name To Latto

Mulatto Made the Final  Switch to Her Moniker Recently

On Monday, the news was confirmed through every streaming platform. Now, fans can call her Latto instead. For a hot minute, the successful rapstress voiced her decision to drop her former stage name. The reasoning was because of the offensive meaning behind it. Word is, she’s changed it ahead of the premiere of her album today.

The term mulatto describes a mixed individual with African American and Caucasian roots. Sadly, the term was used slur during times of slavery and segregation in America. Hence, why it’s quite offensive. The root of the word references the offspring of a horse and a donkey.

She first spoke about changing her name during an interview with Hip-Hop DX.

You know you might know your intentions, but these are strangers who don’t know you, never even met you in person,” Mulatto expressed in the interview. “So you gotta hear each other out, and if you know those aren’t your intentions and that’s how it’s seen, it’s like why not make a change or alter it? For me, it was the name. So now I’m like, ‘OK, my intentions were to never glorify being mulatto.’ So if that’s how it’s being perceived and people think I’m saying, ‘Oh, I’m better because I’m mulatto’ or ‘My personality trait is mulatto’ … then I need to change the matter at hand.”

Changing her social media handles aren’t enough. She adds “that’s not sensitive enough to the subject matter.” and she wants “to be able to speak on it” so people can hear her out. She further says that changing your name in the music industry isn’t easy and it comes with a lot of logistics.

“I want them to also understand that the name change at this level in your career is a big decision,” the 22-year-old rapper continued during her Hot Freestyle interview. “Freaking investors, labels, everything. Been riding on this name, so it is a big decision. It’s way deeper than a tweet.”

Yesterday, the fashion/music influencer made a video post on Instagram. The song hints at the name change.

“You gotta be strategic with the word choice because it could come off a way that you don’t mean. That’s how I got in this predicament in the first place with the damn name,” she said. “That’s why you gotta be proactive with the word choice. Gotta think ahead. My intentions weren’t for the backlash. Exactly what I’m saying in the song. Intentions weren’t for that.”

Female Empowerment- Kash Doll drops visual to “Bad Azz” featuring Mulatto.

Detroit rapper Kash Doll and Atlanta’s DJ Infamous have a new single “Bad Azz,” featuring Atlanta rapper Mulatto and New York rapper Benny the Butcher. The track is also co-written by Hitmaka and London Jae and produced by OG Parker and Smash David. Doing things her way, Kash doll represents for all the brown skin girls who may or may not get the chance to get to the music industry. From Queen Latifah, Lil Kim and Cardi B and so much more, Kash doll has created her own lane but doesn’t forget to pay homage to the female artist that came before her and supports the female rap artist among her.

Dressed in all black, the rappers are seen inside a dimly lit warehouse, rapping about their rich and famous lifestyle and flexing on their haters who wish they had that life.

“You ain’t bad chick ’cause you runnin’ scams/Instagram, Snapchat, and OnlyFans,” raps Kash Doll. “I be with my friends on some boss ish/You and your friends on some loss ish.” Doll raps. With adding the breakout female rapper artist Mulatto, the self-proclaimed “Queen of the Souf” bodied her verse on this collaboration, while also adding sex appeal and raunchy lyrics to the visual. With bars like “I might f*** him and forget him, just like a n**** ” Mulatto continues to empower women by giving them confidence enough to treat him like he treats you.

Rapper Benn the Butcher, brings the song full circle as he closes out the song with his verse, bringing to light the male perspective about that rich and lavish lifestyle. Dj infamous makes an appearance in the video as well and shows us that DJ’s play an important role in the industry and artist should still collaborate with them for a fire track.

Kash Doll is bringing in music that we need to hear, while looking good doing it. Showing us that she’s here to stay. Check out the music video below.
