One of man’s latest obsessions are “thick” women. When I hear a man describe a thick woman he says wide in the thighs, no stomach, spread out hips, and a curvaceous booty. Lately it seems as though women are starting to use the “thick” term to loosely. They rather say they’re thick than say they’re overweight, fat, heavy, and packed with cellulite. Of course women shouldn’t be ashamed of the skin they’re in, but it becomes a problem when women begin to ignore the fact that they’re overweight. To put it in other terms, you’re eating habits are unhealthy.
Since men find beauty in thick women, women prefer to be placed under the same category to find beauty in their own bodies. However, it is possible to be thick, with a healthy weight. It is always best to be the weight that’s not bad for your height, while considering the frame of your body. When working out people develop muscle mass, adding weight to their bodies. But the weight doesn’t consist of fat; body fat is what causes cellulite. Cellulite cases the thighs and butt to create dimples which makes the skin look like cottage cheese. As women, we can see where that’s undesirable.
If men didn’t fantasize over the idea of thick women, then women probably wouldn’t use it to justify their weight. Many times women become more comfortable in their skin when society or a man begins to appreciate “their skin.” Regardless if men like it or not, using thick as an excuse will not change how a woman actually feels about herself. So if you feel over weight, then work out and start a diet regimen. Don’t cover it up with a post on Instagram with #Thick attached to it.
