Moving to Barbados

“Both her (Rihanna) and ASAP’s family are in Barbados, so the couple are planning to move there in a few months’ time” – A source tells The Mirror

A$AP and Rihanna’s decision must have been influenced by this. Growing up around family in such a beautiful place is priceless.

The plan is to live in Los Angeles for three months before moving from their current residence. Rihanna grew up in Bridgetown, the capital of Barbados, and now will raise her child there.

Growing Up In Barbados

“She wants to give her baby the same experience she had – away from the world of show business” – A source tells The Mirror

Growing up in Barbados’ capital influenced Rihanna so much that she wants to give her child the same influential upbringing. A$AP Rocky and Rihanna’s child will grow up away from show business, but his upbringing will be vastly different from theirs. Both Rihanna and Rocky know what it is like to grow up poor and this will not be the experience for their little one.

Rihanna And A$AP Are Parents

TMZ reported that the child, whose name is not public knowledge, was born on May 13.

The public didn’t experience the entirety of Rihanna’s pregnancy. Rihanna announced to everyone back in January that they were having a child. The couple made up for it by showing us how expecting parents should present themselves.

Their baby marinated in epic fashion moments and will be expected to live up to his parents’ trendsetting. Still being a baby, he has time to fill their shoes in the fashion world. For now, he can enjoy growing up in Barbados with both of his parents.

Kodak Black Talks Impending Fatherhood

Kodak Black is on the cusp of fatherhood again. Weeks after having a daughter with Maranda Johnson, Daijanae Ward will be the mother of his third child. The pair announced via a gender reveal party held on February 22. After pink smoke showed Kodak is having another daughter, he gifted Ward a Birkin bag.

The next day, he went on The Breakfast Club, where he spoke to Charlemagne and Angela Yee. Despite the results of the pregnancy, he reportedly told Ward, “If it’s a boy, I’mma be your boyfriend. [If] it’s a girl, I’ll just be your baby daddy.” Charlemagne laughed at the statement, while Yee called it “ridiculous.” It’s hard to say if Kodak is joking. But as some pointed out on social media, he has a sketchy relationship with women.

Kodak’s History With Women

In February 2016, cops arrested Kodak on suspicion of sexual assault. He stood before the court in 2021 for sentencing, but because he took a plea deal and got probation. In 2019, the rapper released a song, Pimpin’ Ain’t Eazy, where he name-dropped rapper Young M.A. The song has multiple uses of the d-slur for lesbians. After he dropped the song, he doubled down by referencing the situation in an Instagram live stream. After rapper Nipsey Hussle was killed in 2020, Kodak came under fire for offensive comments about Hussle’s girlfriend, Lauren London. He apologized to Nipsey but not directly to London.

Kodak’s misogynoir—misogyny explicitly directed to black women—also includes a 2017 incident where he said he doesn’t like dark-skinned women. He claimed women of his skin tone are “too tough,” and that light-skinned women are easier to “break down.” He followed this up, saying, “My complexion we too gutter: light-skinned women are more sensitive.” Despite these issues, Kodak is about to father two daughters. Only time will tell if fatherhood suits the 24-year-old rapper.
