Lil Uzi Vert Says, “I Got Named By A Crackhead.”

“I got named by a crackhead.” Lil Uzi shared this past weekend. Lil Uzi Vert is a peculiar rap name indeed. Until now, he has regarded “some guy” as the reason for it.

Uzi shared that an “infamous crackhead” gave him his name, during a live stream. He also credits the crackhead as a “good guy”.

The fast-rapping Philly native

Born Symere Bysil Woods, Lil Uzi hails from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His introduction to the rap arena came from his affiliation to Steaktown. At this point in time, he  says it was “just for money” under the name “Sealab Vertical.”

In 2016, Uzi told Vibe, “Some guy was just like ‘you rap fast, man, like a little machine gun’ and from that moment I was Lil Uzi.” When asked how he achieved his success, he answered, “It’s weird, but I just stopped thinking and started moving,” says Uzi. “I just stopped thinking so hard.” His rap career took off after his signing with Atlantic Records.

Who can forget his first appearance on Migo’s “Bad and Boujee” track? The song topped the Billboard charts in 2017 and gained him unpronounced attention. Coupled with his “XO Tour Lif3” in June 2017, it was clear that Uzi was on his way up.

Like most artists, his introduction to the music industry was challenging. In 2018, he eluded to conflicts with DJ Drama and the release of his album Eternal Atake.

Don Cannon was responsible for getting the word to DJ Drama about the “next big thing” coming from Philly. He eluded to unspeakable star power in Lil Uzi.

Lil Uzi Vert’s name holds weight

It’s apparent that Lil Uzi’s name holds weight in the music industry. Despite his name coming from a crackhead, he has given it a new meaning. He has recently paid tuition for a lucky college attendee, and now college graduate. He also has some of the most praise worthy collabs to date. Although fans expect a release with late XXXtentacion, he shows a level of respect that is commendable. From his relationship with City Girls’ JT, where he displays his loveable nature, to his extravagant lifestyle, fans cant get enough Lil Uzi Vert

With ‘Make Them Mad-Remix,’ Nikole tapped Florida native and Grammy Award winning songwriter and rapper, Kamillion to add explosive and racy lyrics to the track. Both female rappers are all about girl power, unity and working with other female rappers.

The visuals to ‘Make Them Mad-Remix’ is expected to be released sometime in the near future. Aside from working on her new EP, Nikole’s next single is set to be called ‘Freak B*tch.’

Tee Grizzley and Meek Mill Spit Jail Bars For “First Day Out” Remix

Hope every one weekend went well. Welcome back FM Trendsetters!  Yesterday, the upcoming rapper from Detroit, Tee Grizzley dropped a highly anticipated remix of his overnight success banger “First Day Out“.   The remix features a rapper from Philadelphia whom we all hope get to his “First Day Out“, especially after all the foul and alleged crooked business dealing with the Defense Attorney and Judge on his case.  But despite the madness and jail time, that did not stop the bars and rhymes of Philly’s own Meek Mill.  The song still gives off that vibe of when you first come out the Feds (Federal Prison for the street illiterate).  “Fresh out ain’t nothing to go baaaaack” (Comedian Mr. Commodore’s Voice). I swear this is perfect music to put on your iPod when you hitting some sets on the bench, lifting barbells, or push ups.  “N****z praying on my downfall” chanting  in your ear as you achieve maximum goals.  This track is still motivation for the streets.  With Meek Mill on the track, just adds more inspiration.
