Boosie Badazz Reacts To R. Kelly’s 30-Year Sentence

Boosie Badazz came to R. Kelly’s defense after the singer received a 30 year prison sentence on Wednesday. Kelly was sentenced after being convicted of sex trafficking and racketeering charges in September.

However, not everyone is happy with the ruling. Boosie Badazz took to social media on Thursday to share his thoughts on R. Kelly’s sentence, which could see him spend the rest of his life behind bars.

Boosie responds to R. Kelly’s sentence

The Baton Rouge artist admitted that Kelly deserves to spend time in prison, but argued that his crimes didn’t warrant such a sentence. He also expressed his hope that the disgraced singer would receive treatment while serving his sentence.

“People getting 15/20 years for murder n he get 30!!”, Boosie tweeted. “Yes he was wrong af for manipulating young girls n sexing them but he didn’t kill anyone, aggravated rape anyone. [And] no blame on the parents who knew everything. Resentence this man!! College professors get probation for this sh*t.”

In another tweet, Boosie seemingly accuses the parents of Kelly’s victims, posting a screenshot of a court document. The document alleges that one victim’s mother “engineered her relationship” with Kelly and “actively misled [him] about her age.”

Boosie doubled down on his support for R. Kelly in a video posted to his Instagram. The video shows Boosie blasting Kelly’s music while on a boat, with Boosie bemoaning Kelly’s sentence.

“They gave my boy Kelly 30, man. F**k!”, he said while singing along to Kelly’s “When a Woman Loves.” “Can’t take this away from them, though.  That n***a the truth, man… I don’t wanna see no n***a down. That n***a knew something, man.”

The terms of Kelly’s treatment

While Boosie’s comments are sure to cause controversy, his calls for Kelly to be rehabilitated are somewhat accurate. TMZ reported Friday that Kelly has been ordered to receive mental health care upon his release.

Kelly’s treatment will also include therapy and he must avoid contact with anyone under the age of 18. In addition, he must inform anyone who chooses to live with him of his status as a sex offender.

Kelly still faces charges in Minnesota and Chicago, with a trial date set in August.

R Kelly Victim Doubts Rehab “There’s never gonna be any change”

After several decades in the spotlight, R&B singer R Kelly is finally convicted of racketeering and several sex crimes.

Keeping the faith

Faith Rodgers is one of many women taken advantage of by Robert Kelly over the span of his career. Those victims thankfully received justice this past week (Jun 30). While Kelly still has another federal trial to go, the 30-year sentence from judge Ann Donnelly is nothing to scoff at.

TMZ spoke with Rodgers last year following his New York conviction to gain some perspective. Eerily enough, Faith claimed even then that Kelly was a lost cause and still headed down a dark path. Recently. We saw this come to fruition. “If you take accountability and make change you can change, but if you don’t take accountability there’s never gonna be any change.” She explained upon being asked about the possibility of Robert’s redemption. Unlike Akon, who told TMZ that same day he believes Kelly can change with the help of God, Faith isn’t so optimistic.

the mask comes off R Kelly

The 24-year-old first filed a suit against Robert Kelly in 2018. She accused the Chicagoan of “mentally, sexually and verbally” abusing her during their time together. In addition to this, she alleges Kelly gave her an STD. quickly following her lawsuit, Faith featured as one of the victims on the Surviving R. Kelly doc. This highly controversial Lifetime program catapulted the singer back into the spotlight for his crimes and spurred a massive public backlash. It’s widely believed Surviving R Kelly and its subsequent sequels gave many of his victims the courage to press harder with their legal proceedings.

Faith finished her interview with a loud and clear message for black victims of sexual assault still seeking justice.

“Keep putting your abusers in the position they should be in, [just] keep putting them in jail, keep holding them accountable. [Just] Keep them away from your kids, your daughters.”

With this latest conviction, it’s a guarantee of one less abuser on the streets. However, Robert Kelly to this day doesn’t see himself this way. When the rumors first broke years ago, until the present day R Kelly has vehemently denied all sex crime accusations. He famously appeared on CBS This Morning with Gayle King back in 2019 to further deny the claims. Of course, this only turned the ‘Ignition’ singer into a bit of a laughing stock. Complete with memes and remixes of the tumultuous interview.

Since then, it’s been nothing but bad fortune for Kelly, just as Rodgers predicted.

Bill Guyer, a former police detective, investigated Pearl’s situation and the stories from other women also. Finally, after years of waiting, five women filed a civil lawsuit.

Raz Simone Denies Sex Trafficking Allegations.

“It’s been a plan they put together years back. The money’s on the line, and they’re using it like a class-action lawsuit,” Simone stated. His attorney, Corinne Mullen, chimed in to say she believes this lawsuit will soon end.

Simone denies all allagations made against him.

“Young, vulnerable women” involved in sex work are the victims Simone targets, court documents show. The Plaintiffs state, “He wins them over with affection, and pitches the relationship as a chance to grow, find success and be a part of his family.”

The women also claim that they must’ve brought him a decent amount of money to stay on Simone’s good side. He would have them strip or perform other sexual acts in which he would take their money after. He also enforced strict rules on their diet and how they could act, and if the girls did not comply, he would threaten them and get violent.

Each of the women is reported to seek $1 million for the pain and suffering they had endured.
