How Ski Mask the Slump God Plans to Stay Icy

Despite a frightening robbery involving PnB Rock, Ski Mask claims he isn’t deterred from walking out with flashy jewelry. Instead, he’s counting on positive energy and precautions to keep him safe.

Ski Mask Speaks On LA

TMZ caught up with the “Faucet Failure” rapper this Thursday at LAX (Sep 29) to chat about his impressive chain. The large piece of jewelry, inspired by the popular Japanese series Yu Gi Oh, casually hung around Ski Mask’s neck as he strolled through the airport. With his name engraved widely around the shiny piece, it’s unmistakable who the owner is.

Apparently, Ski Mask prefers to keep his chains and rings on during TSA searches. According to him, it’s too long of a process to put everything back on. Of course, the “Stokeley” album rapper had some thoughts about the recent events surrounding PnB Rock. Following his death at a Los Angeles restaurant, several arrests have been made, and charges have already been booked.

LA Mourns PnB

In a heartfelt message, the West Coast rapper called out his own city for the increased violence in recent years. In addition, DJ Drama, who worked closely with PnB Rock over his career, pointed out the heightened violence in LA as the culprit. When many fans pointed the finger at Rock’s longtime girlfriend for dropping their location, Drama focused on the bigger picture.

“The whole situation isn’t right, but people are hungry out here, so you just gotta be more cautious of where u sit down and eat,” Ski Mask continued.

When asked about his way of feeling secure, he has a simple yet effective answer. “Don’t post my locations, and I don’t really go out like that,” he expounded. “I have really good energy, and…I don’t carry that energy with myself.”

While The Slump God was aware of the news of a 17-year-old arrest, The subsequent charging of his stepmother was a big surprise. “Goddamn, the whole family?” He exclaimed. “Nah, that’s crazy, bro!”

Florida rapper Ski Mask the Slump God is providing new and exciting visuals for his new album. Yesterday, he released the music video for “Admit It,” a song off his latest project Sin City: The Mix Tape. The visuals in the music video reflect the ones in the album’s trailer. We see black and white color schemes and the feel of a thriller/action movie. In the video, we follow Ski as he is shot and transported to what looks like an alternate universe. DJ Scheme, a frequent collaborator and friend of Ski Mask, drives an older-looking black car while Ski delivers his bars from the passenger seat.

“What Mike Wazowski say? We monsters either way”

Overall, the song features Ski Mask’s typical flow: fast and clever, with a catchy chorus. Ski never fails to deliver witty lyrics with a quick rhythm. This song was a bit more fast-paced than the other songs on his album. However, fans were excited to get an older Ski Mask vibe from the song. The album has a mix of upbeat and slower songs, which left fans mixed in their reactions. This versatility is new to Ski Mask’s projects, but it hints at new sounds and flows from him in the future. We’re excited to see what comes next!

Ski Mask the Slump God released the trailer for his upcoming mixtape, Sin City the Mixtape, which is set to release on June 25.

Stokeley Goulbourne, better known as Ski Mask the Slump God, is finally giving his fans some new music. He’s stayed quiet since the release of his 2018 album, aside from a few singles here and there. He also made several appearances on DJ Scheme’s debut album, Family. On Monday, Ski Mask released a trailer for his latest album, titled Sin City the Mixtape. The trailer was like an action movie, and fans are expecting the album to have the same vibe.

The last official song Ski Mask released was “Burn the Hoods” in 2020. The song dissed former President Trump and made fun of KKK members. Fans are expecting the song to make an appearance on Sin City the Mixtape, along with speculations of possible features. One feature fans are hoping for is Juice WRLD,  who Ski Mask had a close relationship with before his death in late 2019. Ski has also released snippets of songs in the past few weeks on social media, giving fans a peek of what to expect on the mixtape.

We know this album will be worth the wait!
