T.I. Gets Into Argument With Lauren Knight

Grammy-winning rapper T.I. got into it on Monday night at an open mic. At Our Bar in Atlanta, Georgia, a video surfaced of T.I. and the event’s host, Lauren Knight, going back and forth.

In the “One Knight Only” open mic series, Knight mentions the sexual assault allegations against the rapper and his wife, Tiny. T.I. denies what Knight is saying and adds that the case was thrown out.

T.I. v. Lauren Knight

The next day, the comedian also posted her reaction to T.I. on Instagram. She started by saying T.I. was heckling her during her set while she joked about relationships and marriage. Once he suggested that she take her wig off, she had had enough. Knight brought up the sexual assault case. She made it known that she could say whatever she wanted because this was her event.

“If I want to make jokes about something, I’ll make jokes about something. You’re not going to tell me to shut the fuck up in my shit. This is my shit. Let’s be very clear”.

Brothers Reunite

T.I. attempted to engage with the comedian more, but his mic was cut off. Surprisingly, he eventually got on stage and hugged Knight at the end.

As Tip ignites a new feud, he recently put out an old one. At J.Cole’s Dreamville Festival this past weekend, the legendary DJ Drama’s set included Jeezy, Lil Wayne, and T.I. The latter two hitting the same stage may come as a surprise as they have not interacted in years.

In 2016, T.I. also did not like the comments Tunechi had to say about the Black Lives Matter group. But on Sunday, T.I. surprised Weezy by walking on stage during his set, and the duo performed “Swagga Like Us.” They ended the performance with a hug as Wayne called T.I. his real brother.

Hopefully, T.I. and Lauren Knight will reconcile more quickly than he and Wayne did.

T.I. Takes His Talents To The Comedic Stage

T.I. is giving stand-up comedy a try for the first time.

Twenty years ago, the rapper collaborated with Lil Wayne, Trick Daddy, and Lil Jon on Urban Legend‘s “Stand Up,” but he’s going for a different take this time.

January 20, videos appeared online of Tip on the stage of a comedy club. The clips were shorter than two minutes, and the rapper does a stand-up routine on cheating and relationships.

“If you ever get into the area of cheating, that’s no man’s land. Now, you don’t want to do that,” the video starts. “You know, it’s all right to have friends and shit. Let me ask y’all a question. Can you be in a committed relationship and still have a friend from the opposite sex? Now, if you fucking, it don’t count!”

Tip’s performance got some laughs from the crowd, but comments laughed for different reasons. Most comments booed and joked about the rapper. Although, there were a few that lent valid criticisms, like the rapper’s comedic timing.

T.I.’s Hobbies Outside Of Music

The Atlanta rapper has been stepping out of his comfort zone over the years. He has recently tried stand-up comedy, and he’s been acting for years. He’s had roles in ATLTakersAmerican GangsterMarvel’s Ant-Man, and more. Don’t forget about his VH1 reality series T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle.

Even though he’s been trying other ventures, the rapper’s heart still lies with music. Tip even declared that he’s still at the top of the game in a recent video while name-dropping Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, Pusha T, and Nas.

“Now, you might like somebody else better. It might be somebody else, you, ‘I like this better than I like T.I.’ Okay, fine, ’cause you like them better. That’s cool, that’s your preference, but n***a, when it comes to putting shit out, ain’t nobody fucking with me, man.”

T.I. Puts His Bravado On Display With Bold Statement

T.I. put his bravado up front and center on social media this morning. Without any hesitation, he made the bold claim,

“When it comes to getting behind that Muthaf****** mic, n-gga putting some s*** to music ain’t nobody f****** with me!”

Without any uncertainty, there was fire behind his message.

T.I. didn’t just keep the message general. He challenged some of hip-hop’s finest. It’s obvious he needed to assure the masses of his dominance. So he made a proclamation, called names, spoke some fighting words, and then, essentially, proclaimed none of the invitees could outshine him.

“Jay and Nas, you need to bring them, bring them. Nas, Wayne, Ye… n-gga they who you need. Bring them. Pusha T. Yeah, all of them.

Once he struck his momentum, T.I. was taking it full throttle.

The Ascent of T.I.

T.I. has been in the game for a while. A  source states that T.I. began showing his love for hip-hop and crafting his art at the age of nine. By 19, he was making a name for himself as he was signed to a label. By 2001, he released his first album. Eventually, he dared to establish his own label. However, he didn’t begin ascending to the top of the charts until 2003, with the release of “Trap Muzik!”

 T.I. Keeps It Moving

T.I. has been pressing forward in his career since, and it shows. As noted, he snagged four Grammy awards at the 51st ceremony. In 2012, he released another album, Trouble Man: Heavy is the Head, which landed in the 66th position on the Billboard Hot 100. In June of last year, he announced the release of an upcoming album, his final one, a media said.

He’s Got Hand’s In a Lot of Jars

Not only has T.I. amassed monumental success in music, but different ventures, including the formulation of a lucrative TV brand so, no one is contradicting his talent and work ethic. He deserves esteem for his triumphs. However, throwing everyone under the bus is not an effective way to garner respect. There is a time to assert dominance but, is this the time?

Challengers Come Forth

One of the first of T.I.’s mentions, Jay-Z, is heralded as one of the best hip-hop artists of all time. He has over twenty years in the industry. As a source indicates, “He has ten albums ranking consistently as Number Ones in the charts.” Likewise, Nas is a heavy-hitting industry contributor. Nas’ album Illmatic is deemed one of the greatest rap albums of all time another source says. The same source also remarks, “he has sold 25 million records and received worldwide critical acclaim!”

Why ignite a flame without a cause to melt anything to the ground?

Only T.I Can Answer for T.I.

No one knows why T.I. was ranting, and no replies from the other artists have been reported yet. My hunch is that they don’t have the time for beef over trivial matters. They let a record speak for itself.

With all impartiality, we hope that T.I. gets it together and if it’s flowers he feels he deserves then, with luck, he gets all due him. However, there is no distinction necessary. They are all remarkable artists! What they have contributed to the culture is beyond valuable.

Interested in what else has been going on with T.I.? Then check out FM Hip Hop’s retrospective articles.

T.I. Responds To Claims Of Sabotaging Atlanta Mayoral Candidate

T.I. responded today after an Atlanta mayoral candidate, Felicia Moore, accused him of ruining her image. Thus leading to her loss against Mayor-Elect, Andre Dickens, this past week.

Candidate takes shots

Felicia Moore currently serves as Atlanta City Council President. She began her run for Mayor of Atlanta at the beginning of November. She claims hip hop artists and influencers, namely ‘About the Money’ rapper T.I., are to blame for her loss to Andre Dickens on Tuesday (Nov. 30).

Moore says false rumors of her shutting down popular club Magic City led to her losing the mayoral election.

Moore did an interview with TMZ yesterday (Dec. 2) where she openly addressed TI. “TI puts out a very salacious lie, just point-blank lie and misinformation, that I wanted to close down strip clubs.” Moore said. She continued with denying any plans to shut down clubs, stating her goal was only to limit the amount of recording studios opening in the Atlanta area.

Singer-songwriter Isaac Hayes III also received some heat in the interview. “Isaac Hayes III in particular I think he has some obsession with tearing me down. I feel sorry for the karma he will receive in life.” Moore stated.

Moore finished the segment with an ominous tone, saying T.I. should “learn to stay out of politics”.

A false claim

Consequently, these claims may get the Atlanta City Council President into some hot water, as it’s been revealed T.I. and Hayes only reposted the misinformation. The pair did not create the rumors themselves. Former Mayor, Kasim Reed, shared with TMZ that it is indeed, fake news.

On Monday (Nov. 29) T.I. posted a screenshot containing a headline reading: “Woman Running For Atlanta Mayor Promises To CLOSE ALL STRIP CLUBS!!!”

“If you’re a club owner, a bartender, a dancer, promoter, valet driver, or just a visitor who subscribes to the culture of this city… understand that OUR LIVELIHOODS & WAYS OF LIFE is being threatened. I’d hate for you to wake up tomorrow and your destiny now rests in the hands of people who could care less about your concerns or best interests… THE TIME IS NOW‼️” he typed. See Instagram post

T.I and Hayes respond

Hayes, upon hearing the interview took to Atlanta radio station v103 to clear his name.

After The Family Hustle star watched the interview, he went live on Instagram to verbally condemn the politician. During the live stream T.I. said Moore is “not fit” for the position. By the same token, he referred to her as “out of touch”, and criticized the lack of one on one interaction with Southwest citizens of Atlanta.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2lrYEYRZujQ

T.I. left one sentiment that many Atlanta natives have been voicing since the mayoral election began. “You lost sight of one thing. The creatives in this city, we run this town.”

While Moore has yet to respond to T.I. or Hayes, one thing is clear. The voice of the hip-hop community has a profound impact on politics. Undoubtedly, it is prevalent now more than ever.

T.I. Challenges 50 Cent to Verzuz At 50’s Own Show Premiere

During his latest performance at the “Black Mafia Family” show premiere on September 23rd, T.I. has called out 50 Cent and challenged him to a Verzuz.

In the exact words of T.I,  “50 I’m waiting on you!” He also challenged 50 saying that “we got to do this Verzuz, man, give them what the people want to see!”

50 Cent hasn’t yet responded to T.I. Earlier 50 Cent clearly showed no interest in participating at one of the Verzuz events.

“A Verzuz battle? Probably not,” 50 told hnhh. “We back outside. That was something that happened during the pandemic when we was stuck in the house. Now that we back outside, there’s other things to do. We supposed to be creating new history, not being back there.”

T.I. vs 50 Cent: The Background History

T.I. has been challenging 50 Cent since last July. He posted a video on Instagram, where he congratulated 50 on his birthday, threw some shots, and the Verzuz challenge. The video’s caption also offered to “Pull up and catch this Trap Muzik fade big fella…. @50cent.”

Back then 50 Cent jokingly responded to the proposal in now deleted Instagram post, referencing Chris Tucker from Friday: “yo somebody passed TI the weed they gave smokey in Friday. LOL.”

Fat Joe and Ja Rule’s recent Verzuz followed a year of silence from both 50 and T.I. T.I. got back on challenging 50 and used Diddy’s refusal to take on Jermaine Dupri as a reason to revive his sentiments. In response to Diddy’s statement that Dr. Dre is the only rapper who can challenge Diddy, T.I. recorded a 28-minute video and said: “So, when it gets down to the Verzuz conversation about Puff and JD, or me and 50 [Cent], that shit just hit different.”

The “Black Mafia Family” Premiere

“Black Mafia Family” is the new show produced by 50 Cent. It’s a history of two brothers from 1980s Southwest Detroit, who started one of the most influential American crime families.

https://youtu.be/s6_YrWse_S4

Apart from T.I., a lot of stars have visited the premiere. Snoop Dogg, Lil Duval, Da Baby, Moneybagg Yo, and Lil Meech were also on the stage that night. Even 50 performed his classics like “Many Men” or “Big Rich Town.”

Other guests include Young Thug, Gunna, G Herbo, 2 Chainz. You can read about them all on our website.

T.I. and Tiny Harris Get Sexual Assault Case Dismissed

A judge in Los Angeles has declined to hear the case of an alleged 2005 sexual assault by T.I. and his wife, Tiny. The anonymous victim alleges that T.I. and Tiny drugged and then assaulted her in Los Angeles some fifteen years ago. However, this time frame puts the case outside of the ten-year statute of limitations in California.

Simply put, the case has expired.

Shawn Holley, an attorney for T.I. and Tiny, gave a statement to PEOPLE yesterday, saying:

“Mr. and Mrs. Harris are pleased, but not surprised, by the District Attorney’s decision to dismiss these meritless allegations. We appreciate the DA’s careful review of the case and are grateful to be able to put the matter behind us and move on.”

But neither Clifford J. Harris Jr. (T.I.) or Tameka Cottle (Tiny) are out of the legal woods, yet. In fact, this appears to be just the beginning.

T.I. and Tiny Harris, Sexual Assault Case

The case against T.I. and Tiny

First accused last January, the couple is facing allegations of multiple druggings and sexual assaults over the period of thirteen years, 2005-2018. Occurring across the United States, these allegations are put forward by at least ten anonymous women. The LAPD opened up an investigation in May. Attorney for the victims Tyrone A. Blackburn has repeatedly urged attorney generals across the country to open up investigations, claiming the Harris’s engaged in “forced drugging, kidnapping, rape, and intimidation.”

The Harris’s have continually denied the allegations and accusations, even threatening to sue the accusers. The couple’s hit VH1 reality show “T.I. & Tiny: Friends & Family Hustle” was suspended as the allegations broke. MTV Entertainment stopped production because, in the words of a spokesperson, they needed to “gather more information”. There is no word as to when the show might be back, or if the fourth season will see the light of day. The show had been filming in Atlanta.

T.I. Addresses Sexual Assault Accusations in New Music Video

The news has not been friendly to T.I. in the past year

To be fair, T.I. has always been a man of controversy, having spent multiple outings in jail during the heights of his musical career.  However, this past year, he and his wife, Tiny, have been under an avalanche of sexual assault charges.

The Hip-Hop power couple has very strongly and publicly denied every charge.  The most blatant example came earlier this week, with T.I. putting out a music video for his song, ‘What It’s Come To.’  In this video, we see a gaggle of women conspiring to take down Tip and his wife for big money.  He displays exactly how he feels, showing each woman jumping at the opportunity to ruin the lives of him and his missus.  The bars match the visuals, one particular dagger being “Go put your face and reputation on it/The kinda claims deserve more than anonymous provocative conversations, don’t it.”

In the hopes that T.I. is innocent, this video is honestly quite powerful.  As an MC in his 40’s, Tip proves himself to be in great rapping shape.  He comes through with deep lyrics delivered by a masterful flow and emotionally centered performance.  Coming out in late May, it turns out that this track is actually a lead single to his supposed retirement album, ‘Kill the King.’

With the amount of suspicion raised against T.I. and Tiny, we’re hoping that this video is on the right side of things.  We would hate to see Tip bring heavy disgrace upon himself, but at least he’s confident enough to claim innocence in such a bold manner.  As the legal cases continue, we’re sure to hear more info when his “final” album drops.  Let’s hope that justice prevails for the deserving party.

T.I. and Tiny headlining again on sexual assault allegations

  1. Circulating reports say T.I. and Tiny are currently under investigation for sexual assault allegations!

According to a May 18th press release T.I and Tiny Harris, Hip Hop power couple, are under investigation for sexual assault. Now every artist loves to headline, no doubt! But I am sure that Tip and Tiny are not loving the heat coming from the recent headlines.

Yet, no statements confirming the investigation have come from Clifford (T.I.) or Tameka (Tiny) Harris. But recently, a representative of the L.A. police department spoke with a news outlet about the circulating news. In that conversation, the spokesperson did verify an investigation. But the claim pointed to TIP being the target. Interestingly, the source made no specific claims about Tameka “Tiny” Harris.

However, both T.I. and Tiny are under legal representation. And according to the couple’s attorney, the police have made no contact with the couple about any recent investigation.

Things are getting hairy for the Harris’s!

A few months ago, Tyrone A. Blackburn, attorney, sent letters to state authorities in Georgia and California to open an investigation. Sources state that Blackburn was the recipient of complaints from “more than 30 women, survivors, and witnesses.” Sadly, that is quite a pool of accusers. Without a doubt, the alarming number of women coming forward raises questions and eyebrows alike.

Unfortunately, this news piggybacks off earlier claims of sexual assault and abuse in early 2021.

Fans were in shock as the news broke! Claimant and former friend Sabrina Peterson came forward on Social media regarding sexual abuse allegations. And T.I. and Tiny did not waste any time going to social media to address the situation.  Nevertheless, let us say the response from the community was mixed.

Some say where there is smoke; there is fire!

Regardless, in a just society, we are innocent until proven guilty beyond a shadow of a doubt. That is what we stand behind. So in conclusion, who knows how the rest of this story will unfold for our hip-hop fam? But for the moment, we are keeping our eyes, ears, and our minds open.

T.I. Reportedly Will Not To Return For Third Ant-Man Movie

By Prince Hakeem

According to the Hollywood Reporter and other outlets, rapper-actor T.I. will not be returning for the third Ant-Man movie. This development comes amid legal trouble involving himself and his wife, Tiny.

The New York Times released a story detailing 11 individuals who have accused the Hustle Gang couple of sexual abuse.

The attorney representing these alleged victims, Tyrone A. Blackburn, has sent letters to the Attorney Generals of California and Georgia urging an investigation to be opened.

The letters detailed crimes which include forced ingestion of illegal narcotics, kidnapping, false imprisonment, intimidation, assault, and harassment.

An attorney for T.I. has flat out denied the charges in a released statement saying,

“Clifford (T.I.) and Tameka Harris (Tiny) deny in the strongest possible terms these unsubstantiated and baseless allegations. We are confident that if these claims are thoroughly and fairly investigated, no charges will be forthcoming.”

T.I. has played the character of ‘Dave’ within the two previous Ant-Man movies. In the movie, Dave is an associate of Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang. As a member of the X-Con Security crew alongside Luis and Kurt, played by Michael Pena and David Dastmalchian, he assisted Scott Lang’s Ant-Man on his superhero adventures.

Filming for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania has not yet started. Production for the third is still in development, meaning things could change before filming starts.
