Long live Pop Smoke
Earlier this month, Republic Records released Faith. The posthumous album by Pop Smoke features the likes of Kanye West, Rick Ross, 21 Savage, Future, and more. It also has a star-studded production cast which includes The Neptunes, Swizz Beatz, and FnZ.
Faith has officially debuted at the top spot on the Billboard 200 album charts. It is Pop Smoke’s second album to debut at the #1 spot. The first was Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon — also a posthumous project.
A deluxe version of Faith dropped soon after the original project. The deluxe adds 4 new tracks and some more features, including G Herbo on the track “Run Down.”
The album reportedly sold roughly 88k album-equivalent units and earned over 113 million on-demand streams during its first week.
His legacy continues
Faith serves as the second Pop Smoke project to drop since his tragic death. He was shot and killed in Los Angeles during a home invasion-robbery on February 19th, 2020. Since then, the late rapper has been one of the biggest names in hip-hop.
He currently has over 30 million monthly Spotify listeners.
