While music artists are giving their condolences following the death of PNB Rock, Tekashi 6ix9ine decides to make a joke about on social media. It’s known that the two artists did not have a good relationship, and in the past have exchanged words.
Their beef started back in 2018, when PNB Rock had posted this onto his twitter: “Some b**** in the car wit my bro talkin bout can i play 6ixnine album even tho he a rat? Lol i hate this new generation I SWEAR.” Again, in 2020, PNB Rock made other comments on one of Tekashi’s videos. He said that he would be happy if 6ix9ine died. The rapper later clapped back with “You fell off the face of the earth.” Thankfully their feuding was kept to social media, as that was the last known interaction between the two.
On Monday, PNB Rock was killed while dining at a Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffles in Los Angeles. Tekashi decided to make fun of this on his Instagram, posting “Homie died over [waffle emoji].” Responses to this post has been mostly critical, with many saying that it is too early for morbid jokes like this.

Tekashi has also recently revealed that he is going to stop making music for a while. This break is not related to PNB Rock’s death, but rather because he needs to “get mentally right”. There is currently no end date for this break. This comes after making the news last month when his girlfriend, Jade was arrested. She had hit him in the face while they were arguing at a restaurant. Shortly afterward, she issued a no-contact order against him. However, he does not think it is necessary, as he tells reporters that their relationship is still strong.
