Teyana Taylor stunned the world after announcing ‘The Last Rose Petal Tour.’ The esteemed R&B star will travel to 12 cities before retiring. Taylor plans on hitting the road on November 7th.
“How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard,” Taylor wrote via Instagram. “However, for every goodbye, God makes the next hello closer. So come out and watch me, leave it all out on the stage… One last time… Just for you & as my last rose petal falls, I say farewell.”
Tickets will officially be on sale tomorrow. Purchase them here.
Before releasing her album, The Album, Taylor announced that she was retiring from music. She says it’s because she felt underappreciated by Kanye West‘s record label “G.O.O.D Music.”
West signed the multi-hyphenated musician in 2012 while she was working on his album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.
“I am going to feel underappreciated if I’m putting in 110 percent and my label is giving me … what, 10 percent of that,” she said.
“I put in a lot of work [and] I felt like the label wasn’t really hearing me and [seeing] me. I feel underappreciated. It’s not that I retired permanently. It’s more like. I don’t want to move another inch for a company.”
