Almost two years after his untimely passing, Mac Miller has left lasting effects on the hip hop community as we mourn his death and celebrate his music. Many still find it hard to believe that he is gone when his music is such a big part of people’s daily lives. His team at Warner Records is not about to let him fade out of the culture and are planning to drop a ‘secret’ project in his honor.

Yesterday, fans got some exciting news regarding a posthumous release from the late-great Mac. If you have felt a personal connection to Pittsburgh rapper, you now have an opportunity to show the world what he meant to you. Warner Records posted a tweet initiating a Mac Miller project that needs help from fans.

It is currently unclear what the project will actually be as it could be new music, a documentary, or something else to honor Mac.

“One of the most difficult decisions in the process is how best to let people know about it – how to communicate meaningfully while keeping sacred what should be kept sacred… So this will be the only post on any of his channels,” states his team.
