The Weeknd Fuels Angelina Jolie Dating Rumors with New Song

The Weeknd dropped an album last night with a few steamy lyrics: some think referring to Angelina Jolie.

An unexpected pairing

In the Canadian star’s fifth studio album Dawn FM he makes several references to his new “movie star” girl. While some may assume these are typical braggadocious lyrics from The Weeknd, many are making the connection to actress Angelina Jolie.

The pair have been seen together multiple times since their first public outing at a LA restaurant in June last year. With another romantic date the following month, and a third at the same restaurant in October, it seems the rumors have some merit.

Fans are going even crazier for the alleged duo after hearing the 8th track on Dawn FM, ‘Here we go…Again’.

“My new girl, she a movie star,” he sings. “Baby girl, she a movie star, I told myself that I’d never fall but here we go again,”

That’s not the only possible allusion on the album. In the same song, he sings, “But when I make her laugh, swear it cures my depressing thoughts ’cause baby girl, she a movie star.”

Angelina hasn’t made major news for a relationship since her split from husband Brad Pitt in 2019. The couple first made headlines in 2004 with their infamous nickname “Brangelina”. Fast forward nearly two decades later and the divorcees are now in the spotlight for a messy custody battle.

2022 for Angie and Weeknd

While The Weeknd doesn’t name drop the Girl; Interrupted star on his album, these lyrics come after months of gossip between both fans of Abel and Jolie.

Neither Jolie nor The Weeknd has released any official confirmation at this time.

With a long promo run for Dawn FM coming up and Jolie mapping out 2022 for the Women For Bees program, we’ll be seeing plenty of both this year.
