Tory Lanez releases “Daystar” in response to his involvement in shooting Megan Thee Stallion.
On Thursday, Tory broke his silence via Twitter announcing his return to music.
” To my fans… I’m sorry for my silence … but respectfully… I got time today…… 9 PM PST.”, Tory said in his first tweet since July. On Thursday night, Tory announced his release of ” Daystar”. ” There is a time to stay silent. And a time to speak….. #Daystar”, Tory said in an Instagram caption.

On the 17 song project, Tory denies his involvement in the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion. I can’t prove it but them people in yo’ ear. They the true ones that I feel that really got you thinking Tory Lanez would do you in for real”, Tory says in a song titled ” Money Over Fallouts”.
Later in the song, He questioned Megan’s injuries. “How the f—you get shot in your foot, don’t hit no bones or tendons?”, he said.
Tory also addressed celebrities that spoke out in support of Megan on a song titled ” Sorry But I Had To”. Tory name-dropped serval celebrities including singer Jojo, Kehlani, and Chance The Rapper.
“Jojo, That was a bozo move. You tying to take me off a song that got you the most views”, Tory said addressing Jojo for removing him from her song “Comeback”.
” Chance The Rapper ( Mmm, mmm, ) too irrelevant. I replaced his line with my chain looking heaven-sent”, Tory said.

“I got nothin’ but love to spread, but n****s hate me / Hurt my heart to see them Twitter fingers come from Kehlani’s and Kaash Paige’s.”, Tory said criticizing Khelani and Artist Kash Page.
This is the first time Tory has publicly spoken about his involvement in shooting Megan Thee Stallion. Tory also addresses topics such as cancel culture, “supporting black women “, and alluding to how he “still loves” Megan Thee Stallion.
