Ice Spice has been the talk of New York since late last year. She just dropped her EP, Like…? with her hits “Munch” and “Bikini Bottom”. Fans on social media seem to enjoy the EP, even though the Bronx artist was only projected to sell around 15k in the first week. On one of her songs, “In Ha Mood”, fans have been speculating that she dedicates a line to Chance the rapper. She raps, ”He a rapper, but don’t got a chance”.
Chance Has A Question
Chance the Rapper took notice and instantly wanted to know the truth. He went to Instagram and asked “Is this a diss or a shoutout”. Ice Spice saw the Chicago rapper’s story and replied “never” with a crying, laughing emoji. The Grammy winning artist replied, “Just checking lol”. The “Munch” rapper just dropped the video for the song, “In Ha Mood” over the weekend. She earned her first spot on the Billboard 200 chart with Like…? The 6-track EP came in at number 37.
Ice Spice has plans to keep working and deliver more music in 2023. She recently spoke with HOT 97 about another project.
”Most likely this year, since I’m going to have 10 songs, something like that or whatever, definitely going to be different vibes in there, for sure. I don’t want to talk to much on it because, you feel me? But got to keep the secret sauce a secret.”
Ice Spice Clears Up Drake Line
Recently, Ice Spice had to clear up a Drake line. In “BackOutsideBoyz” off his project, Her Loss, with 21 Savage, fans assumed the 6 God was talking about Ice Spice. He raps, ”She a 10 tryna rap, its good on mute”. Drake flew Ice Spice out last year for OVO fest and all everyone talked about was the fact that he unfollowed her on Instagram.
Since then, people have wondered about their relationship. She was in attendance at one of Drake’s two Apollo shows in Harlem last weekend. According to the 23 year old, Drake reassured her that line in his song is not about her.
