This afternoon news revealed that a SWAT team raided YoungBoy’s house in Houston, Texas. The house is on the same property where the artist’s mother lives.
According to TMZ, a Harris County Sheriff’s Office spokesman issued the warrant to search the residence. The raid resulted in arrests and the seizure of two weapons- a .45 caliber gun and a 9mm gun.
An HCSO representative says SWAT officers served a warrant at the YoungBoy’s home on the morning of Jan. 25, a day before the raid.
3 Defendants Charged With Possession Of Weapons
Roymellow Williams, Daryl Brown, and Carleon Gallien got under arrest during the raid. All charged with possession of firearms by a convicted felon and possession of unregistered firearms.
It remains unknown what kind of connection these men have with the rapper.
Police believe this raid is related to a November shooting that left one man with multiple gunshot wounds.
Authorities said the someone shot the man multiple times in the body and head. He still managed to survive and get to the hospital.
YoungBoy’ s Arrest
In October of last year, the rapper was released after six months in jail for weapons possession after paying $500,000.
The rapper is currently in home confinement in Utah, so he did not witness the shooting and is not under arrest. It’s hard to say whether the mother was in residence at the time of the incident, so she’s not facing charges either.
Young Boy is currently awaiting trial on federal weapons charges.
