Alexander Wang x The Weeknd = WANGXO
High-Fashion clothing designer, Alexander Wang and, music artist, The Weeknd have teamed up and are collaborating on a very epic line, WANGXO. Obviously, Wang stands for Mr. Wang and XO is the Weeknd’s clothing line. Makes sense to keep the name of the line nice and simple. Keeping us on our toes, Alexander Wang announced, via Instagram,
“WANGXO is a limited edition capsule collection, co-designed by Alexander Wang & #TheWeeknd’s XO brand.” -Alexander Wang (Instagram Caption)
The Weekend will be rocking exclusive pieces from his line throughout the Madness 2015 Arena Tour, that actually began just a few nights ago, in Toronto, his hometown. While this endeavor, Abel performing in Wang clothing, is perfect, it just isn’t enough. Therefore, the two expanded on the idea of supporting each others love for fashion, deciding to collaborate on a menswear collection.
The full WANGXO capsule collection will include bandanas , hoodies, T-shirts, and high-top sneakers covered with “XO” graphics.
All my Madness Tour ticket holders, you can expect to see Mr. Abel sporting Wang designed trousers and vests on stage. And, maybe he’ll even rock some WANGXO gear for his 2015 Victoria’s Secret Performance, set to air on the 8th of December. And of course, the Weeknd’s girlfriend, Bella Hadid, can be found rocking some pieces from the collection, in the near future.
While this won’t be the first time, and I doubt the last time, that the Canadian singer teams up with designer Wang, you can expect fresh designs and creativity throughout this line.
Just recently, the Alexander Wang celebrated his labels 10th year anniversary; and, featured tons of celebrities, from Kate Moss, The Weeknd, to Empire’s ‘Cookie’ Taraji P. Henson, Jhene Aiko, and many more, in his ‘Do Something’ T-shirt and Hoodie line campaign.
The line is set to hit shelves at the end of this month, in select Alexander Wang stores. I’m excited. Like, every time Mr. Wang drops a collection it’s pretty tight. When he released his H&M line, just about every H&M store front was surrounded with people, making it a huge hassle to even get through the doors. It was crazy! So, FM readers, be sure to pre-order or get your spots in line early, early, early. Don’t say Shabetti didn’t warn ya.
Good luck with WANGXO, gentlemen.
Shut up, Shabetti Bashazz
