Smokepurpp’s tour seems to go really well, regardless of what the haters say. The rapper recently shared a video on Instagram of one of his sold-out shows. He also wrote, “Tour been lit DON’T BELIEVE THE HYPE, I love what I do and ima give my fans a show regardless, I bet they won’t post this tho.. WE OUTSIDE !¡”
The Low Ticket Sales
However, another video at one of his other shows says otherwise. According to HipHopDX, the viral video is from his recent show in Detroit, Michigan, on April 16. The video shows a few people in front of the stage and the utter emptiness beyond. Shortly after the video was released, he commented on the matter and explained why he did not pull the plug on the show.
“There was a show that was pretty empty that I didn’t have to do,” Smokepurpp wrote. “But Ima give my fans a show regardless always, I wouldn’t be here without them.”
Coincidentally enough, Smokepurpp was then a no-show to his show in Cleveland the day after. 20 people had shown up, with some having meet and greets. However, the venue kicked the fans out after the refund requests started to appear.
Ye Still Owes Money To Purpp?
Aside from having a near-empty crowd, Smokepurpp recently claimed that Kanye West owes him millions. In a video he posted on social media, the rapper claims Kanye West owes him $9 million. “And Kanye, n-gga, you owe me like $9 million, n-gga,” he said. “Hit me line, n-gga, or my lawyer’s gonna hit your lawyer.”
While there was no exact reason for why Ye owes Purpp the money, people assume it has to do with his writing credit for his song “I Love It” by Lil Pump, which features West. The song was certified double-platinum when released and topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart at No. 6.
