Fans are eagerly waiting for the release of Burna Boy’s new album, Love, Damini. Burna Boy planned to release the album this past Friday but pushed back the release a week to July 9th. The Afro-fusion artist already released two singles from the upcoming album, “Last, Last” and “Kilometre.” The Chopstix-produced “Last, Last” garnered much buzz, sampling the 2000 R&B track, “He Wasn’t Man Enough” by Tony Braxton.

Burna Boy, born Damini Ogulu, has been certifiably blowing up as of late. His last album, Twice As Tall, debuted at number one on the Billboard World Music Charts. The Diddy-produced album received rave reviews, catapulting him to the top of the charts. In 2021, Damini won the Grammy for Best Global Music Album at the 63rd Annual Grammys. Later that year, he picked up his third consecutive BET Award for Best International Act, the first African artist to do so.

With 2021 features with the likes of Justin Bieber and Jon Bellion, the hype around Burna Boy is at an all-time high. With an extra week before release, Burna Boy is making the most of the opportunity in building hype for the album. He took to his Twitter and released the full nineteen-song tracklist for Love, Damini.
