Jack Harlow Brings Out Fergie In “First Class” 2022 VMAs Performance

MTV’s annual Video Music Awards took place at New Jersey’s Prudential Center on Sunday, Aug. 28. Jack Harlow won the most awards this year, taking home four “Moonman” trophies. The rapper won Best Collaboration, Best Art Direction, and Best Visual Effects for “Industry Baby” with Lil Nas X. Harlow also took Song of the Summer for “First Class” which he performed, bringing legendary Fergie onto the stage.

According to HipHop DX, the artist was also nominated for Artist of the Year, Best Choreography, and the coveted Video of the Year. Following the show, the “WHAT’S POPPIN” hitmaker took to social media to celebrate his VMAs success and thank his fans. Harlow took to Instagram to share photos of him holding his awards on the red carpet, to say, “4 PIECE.” He also took to Twitter to say,

“Happy as hell. My fans are the shittt. Thank you for everything.”

Jack Harlow And Fergie Owned The Stage With Their “First Class” Performance.

Harlow was not only a winner last night, but also co-hosted the show alongside rap veterans Nicki Minaj and LL COOL J. The 24-year-old also hit the stage performing “First Class” with a surprise guest from the Black Eyed Peas: singer Fergie. The popular single which won Song of the Summer sampled Fergie’s 2006 hit “Glamorous” which featured Ludacris. The performance which began inside an airplane included appearance’s from Lil Nas X, Jimmy Fallon, Chloe Bailey, Saucy Santana, Druski, Avril Lavigne and Taylor Rooks who seemed to be sitting first class. Jack is seen exiting the plane and entering the stage where he begins to shake the hands of his fans and sign autographs. He then welcomes Fergie onto the stage where she jumps in with her original version of the song. Check out the performance below.

“First Class” was off Harlow’s album, Come Home the Kids Miss You and topped the Billboard Hot 100 earlier this year.
