Once again, the Met Gala has come and gone. The debate surrounding the many iconic outfits worn on the red carpet will continue for weeks.
This year’s theme was “Gilded Glamour,” which encouraged attendees to dress up based on their individual styles.
Several stars attended the Metropolitan Museum of Art last night, including Kim Kardashian. Her presence on the carpet has become a tradition since her first appearance in 2011 as Kanye West‘s plus one.
You may recall that at the 2021 Met Gala in September, she wore Balenciaga from top to bottom (in every sense). A shadow of herself appeared to be channeling through her, but she was still easy to identify because of her magnificent curves.
However, this year she switched it up and displayed her face. Despite this, she wholly altered her signature look to pay tribute to another iconic American sex symbol, Marilyn Monroe.
According to TMZ, Kardashian says she lost 16 pounds in a few weeks to fit into the famous gown the late actress wore when she sang “Happy Birthday” to President John F. Kennedy 60 years ago.
Has Kim Kardashian given hints regarding her ensemble for the Met Gala?
For some time now, the mother of four has been giving hints regarding her look for the Met Gala. At first, she stated that she could not tailor her attire for the event. After that, she and her boyfriend were seen in Orlando at Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Museum, which usually displays the gown.
Davidson and Kardashian returned to their hotel after the main event, while many attendees headed to afterparties. Before boarding a flight back to Los Angeles with Khloé Kardashian, they had pizza and donuts waiting for them.
On a related note, yesterday was a very busy day for the reality stars. Moreover, they also secured a victory in their defamation trial against Blac Chyna. However, she did not receive damages. You can learn more about that here.
