On Monday (Feb. 28), Kodak Black took to Twitter to share his love for fellow label mate Ed Sheeran. Kodak gifted Sheeran an 1800 Blockchain and encouraged fellow artists to sign with Atlantic Records.
Meek Mill And NBA Youngboy Express Their Issues With Atlantic Records
These tweets come shortly after other rappers, including Meek Mill and NBA YoungBoy, have expressed their displeasure with Atlantic Records via Instagram.
“Why black ball me I’m the good guy !!!??” YoungBoy wrote for his Instagram return in January. “I was going #1 two weeks straight with a mixtape so they took it down off the charts. I don’t give a fuck you still can’t stop me don’t sign to Atlantic if you a artist they not gone support you especially if you live a certain way.”

As for Meek, Mill is accusing Atlantic of “raping” him out of managing Roddy Ricch in February.
“So look I made Atlantic records 100’s of millions and let them rape me out Roddy a artist they came to me about in jail,” he wrote. “They still saying I can’t drop music until 9 months after my last album got blackballed,”
Kodak Doesn’t Pick A Side
Kodak’s decision to vocally support Atlantic Records is an intriguing move. Significantly since he already raised eyebrows with a single feature from Lil Durk on his latest album, Back For Everything. In light of the ongoing feud between NBA YoungBoy and Lil Durk, some fans viewed Kodak’s participation in Back For Everything as taking sides.
“Kodak and NBA gon beef next once he see Durk the only feature on his new album,” one fan tweeted. At the same time, another wrote, “Kodak album only feature is lil durk we never getting another Kodak x Youngboy again.”
On DJ Akademiks’ Off the Record podcast last October, Kodak Black denied any involvement in the dispute. Instead, he said he’s a fan of both individuals.
“Both of them boys make great music,” he said. “YoungBoy, he like a lil bruh. Durk’s great, too, he makes great music. As long as a n-gga don’t come find me and make me feel like I gotta pick no sides or no crazy shit, I ain’t saying nothin’. It’s music at the end of the day.”
