For most people, it’s hard to decide what is my favorite album of all time. Lebron James was recently interviewed for NBA TV and was asked what his favorite album was. “Favorite album of all time? Oh my goodness, wow,” LeBron said in the interview “I can only have one album, that’s almost impossible.”

He was then asked to list out his top three, but could only say two, which were “It Was Written by Nas and The Black Album, Jay-Z.”

Lebron’s Love For Hip-Hop

In May, James was asked a similar question by a fan on Twitter. The fan asked what his top 5 hip-hop albums were. “The Chronic, Doggystyle, Black Album, Life After Death and ummm It Was Written,” he replied. “But I have so many more to name for real!.” He is not only a fan of the classics, he has also shown love to Russ, Tee Grizzley and Kendrick Lamar. He was recently seen with his wife at Lamar’s show in Vancouver.

Last year, he spoke about the idea of curating a rap album, in the style of DJ Khaled. “My love for music is INSANE,” he said on Twitter. “I think I’m going to do an album. Oh no I won’t be rapping or anything like that. I’m not crazy, I know what I’m great at, but I tell you one thing I do have. So many friends that can!…”

In 2017, he collaborated with Kevin Durant on the track “It Aint Easy,” where both of them rap. The track was originally recorded in 2011 during the NBA lockout. The song first leaked, but its producer Franky Stewart decided to release it to give everyone the right credits on the song.

He also served as A&R on 2 Chainz’s Rap or Go to the League album.
